Mourinho is a Football man. Perez isn't.

Mourinho knows how to build a squad. He knows how to add balance to an unbalanced squad like Madrid. He built a brilliant all-conquering squad in one transfer window at Inter. You should see how Moratti talks about this.

I know this isn't Peak Mourinho anymore but he understands the game, squads and player profiles better than anybody. He's basically their sporting director now.

Barca don't need to scared. Barca need to ignore the noise and do their own thing. They need to address the glaring weaknesses in their own defensive personnel. It's impossible to win the CL with these defenders.

Barca fans will obviously discuss Real Madrid signings. That is what rivals do. Nothing odd about that whatsoever. But nothing to be scared of. It's Real Madrid. Ofcourse they're gonna sign the best in class.

People did. Jose didn't. The Madrid board sucks at recruitment when they have to do something other than signing the biggest names. Sacking Alonso was also a problem. He was building something good. It derailed their season.

They never replaced Kroos. I clearly mentioned this at the time.

Cucurella is a massive upgrade at LB. The 2nd best LB in the world rn.

Cucu, Konate and Dumfries don't add balance, they won't revolutionize the way RM play. They need balance in midfield and in attack.

These signings so far just add something extra to what they already have, apart from Bernardo Silva who is a different player.

They'll sign the Kroos replacement soon after this. They're not done yet.

The window just started.

Also, some players will be sold which will bring up other market opportunities for Jose.

Personally, I want them to sell Vini, get a hardworking targetman and move Mbappe into an inside left position.

My point is they are clearly improving on balance and Cucurella definitely upgrades the LB situation.
 
Can argue they already did with Silva.

Will be interesting to see how Jose sets them up because now they'll have 4 midfielders who think they are starters.

While I agree, that your typical Mourinho playstyle is to sit back, and its more suited to Cups.
But if you just look through last seaosn, they were lacking at Midfield, they are solving it through Silva, and there are talks of Enzo joining soon. Hence they kinda solved that. They dropped points mostly because of injuries and subpar backups, all are being fixed with these signings.

Two of their major issues are being corrected, so its safe to say, they will do much better in league than last time.

My statement of "upper hand" was strictly related to Classicos, as these are the games that usually determine the league's outcome, when both teams are playing well.
I just dont like facing against cunts and dirty teams. Madrid, with Mou and these additions are becoming exactly that. You dont need top quality players to play like cunts, but you do need top quality players to beat cunts. And thats my biggest fear.

You think those players might not come good in the future?

Even if they don't, the point is that they have the privilege of trying and keeping them around until they reach their potential.

Bernardo wasn't a target for us. And neither was Cucurella, but mainly because of money.

Dumfries I think is one which would have suited us well and we should have pushed harder for.

Out of the best coaches who are great at transfers, I don’t rate Mourinho that highly if we look beyond 2 or 3 seasons. He is hired to win and he makes those transfers with that in mind. He mostly signs old, gritty, hard working players and that works brilliantly a season or 3 at clubs like Real or Barca. They are obviously more suited at clubs like Inter, Chelsea or Atletico. I am not scared of Mou’s transfers. Infact, the opposite. But Real does other transfers quitely and sometimes loudly like adding Bellingham, Guler, Tchoumieni, Mbappe, Rudiger etc to an already CL winning squad and those bear fruits down the road 3-4 seasons ahead with other tweaks and balances. If we look at their squad, they don’t give have much glaring weaknesses. From last 17 years. Sometimes, its top heavy or too many WC players in same position etc or a bit unbalanced in other ways but never too weak to not be a contender for CL or big trophies. Always, balanced and WC midfield, always great CBs, always great attack. We otoh play with ridiculous CB pairing for so much time, never address physicality in the midfield etc are always vulnerable against high pressing physical counter attacking team.
In the football world, our only competition is RMA in stature, pull as well as trophies even if we haven’t won CLs in last 11 years and many other teams have. And sometimes, you have to mirror or copy certain things to be equal or better than someone you are competing against. They couldn’t see and cope with us producing the greatest footballing team of all time from 9-11 and kept on adding WC players on each position every season until it finally clicked. Same thing I see with them doing post Ronaldo, Ramos, Modric, Benzema era. Looking like clowns at the first 2-4 seasons until we suddenly see WC players in all positions that could play any style of football against anyone in the biggest of stages. If we are already better than anyone bringing kids from Lamasia, what is harm in having similar transfer business and strategy as them? I believe our club has more unity and family-esque environment and we have as much pull as them if not more.

If they were to Sell Vini, we should be the first one to take him. Not many better players than him in his position, if any. But I doubt it happens. Perez’s ego won’t allow his Brazilian projects to be dismantled.

Silva, Dumfries, Cucurella, Konate. That's one hell of a transfer window so far. Didn't see it coming. The question is what exactly are we waiting on to strengthen our backline.

One reason could be that the club still doesn't give up on Alvarez and holds the needed ffp margin open. We don't know if negotiations are happening behind closed doors without the media. Atletico reacted allergic on media pressure, but Alemany and Deco know each other very well, so it wouldn't surprise me, if they continue to talk in private.
 
As I said before, and I'll repeat it... As long as they don't fix the midfield we should be fine. And they haven't so far.
