I love that when they lose they have still shots of 100 situations in games where they were robbed. As long as they blame the refs they will never win again. We did the same thing. But instead we just go score 5 goals a game
 
They are already imploding.

Unless we get key injuries then this season could turn ugly for them.

We are creating so many chances that VAR can't even hold us back right now.

He effectively neutered the shit out of both Dumfries and Cucu. Dumfries, despite his height and physical profile, was never ever a defensive fullback the way he uses him.

Spent a good portion of his career as a RWB, making marauding runs in the box, That's his whole schick. With Cucu the guy is basically being tasked with defending the entire left flank himself.

Cucu was always a guy who benefited a lot from having some sort of protection defensively and he shines a lot going forward when working in support.

I just don't think Cucu and Dumfries are that good.

Cucu never striked me as a player who does a lot in attack. Not even in Spain NT, apart from the few crosses here and there. He is slow and easy to neutralize in offense by a decent right back.

Dumfries on the other hand is just too poor technically. He excelled in that RWB role at Inter in his later years because he had a lot of space and he had good physicality/stamina for that role. But even in Inter he was a meme player for good part of his career.

If Florentino had the patience to keep Xabi Alonso for another year, they might have evolved. He just presses the reset button every 6 months.

Same issues of conflicting players re-appear under Mourinho. Mbappe is not a no.9, his pitch movements always floats to the left wing where Vinicius is and end up with nobody inside the box.

Mourinho the great authority, fails to address that in many games and the only solution is to sub out Vini Jr in the second half to give Mbappe more creative space.
