Robert Lewandowski

It's the same people who think guys like Rakitić are legends. For me in the last 20 years the only legends are Messi, Xavi, Puyol, Iniesta and borderline Ronaldinho. There are other great players who were amazing for us but not every good player who spent time here is a legend, you have to be something more if you want to be called that at a club like Barca.
How is Ronaldinho borderline? The guy was a huge catalyst for the rebirth of the club after 2003, as Xavi himself said "He changed our history."

Because he's different from the other legends who were here their whole lives but you are right, the impact Ronnie made in his short years was something special.

He is not a Barcelona legend but he is a hero, his rank is near the calibre of players like Pedro, Sanchez and Fabregas. Good at his best but never did truly great things for the club. Only a few players can reach legend status without winning the CL like Romario, Rivaldo, Schuster and Cruyff.

For me, legend is a guy who will still be known from the next generations that didn't watch him. In that regard Ronaldinho is an absolute legend, maybe even more than some of the Spanish ones mentioned.

But the term is usually used for players that are highly appreciated. That make it far more inclusive. There isn't right or wrong definition anyway, it is more of a personal thing.

Legend of the game and of the club. Full stop.

Part of the best Barça attacking trio since MSN. An incredible professional who gave his everything in every minute he spent on the pitch. Came to a club in severe financial and sporting chaos as one of world's best footballers at the time, because he believed in our project and was ready to be a part of it.

As a footballer, top 3 striker to ever wear a Barça shirt. Behind R9 and Romario. Beast in his prime who was robbed of a ballon d'or

I hope he scores vs Betis. I wasn't even aware his departure is now official.

When was he robbed of a BDOR? :D

Players are now measured to different yardsticks. Before Messi more players were considered legendary.

But now.. Besides Messi, we've seen best Barca generation ever. Maybe in world football too. Same guys dominated international football.

We've been spoiled.

People who have only seen the last 2 years of Lewy's career think he's just a poacher and tapin merchant.

But in his peak, he was one of the most complete strikers ever who could do it all. Klopp and Pep loved him at a time when they were allergic to traditional strikers mostly because of his technical ability.

Nobody here is underrating him as one of all time great strikers, but his status of legend for Barca is arguable. Depends on standards. He scored many goals for us, but his overall play let a lot to be desired. That was expected, when hiring a veteran in mid 30s in times of scarcity. He did well, but so did many other players. I personally wont remember him as "legend", but not because i don't like him.

he is rather a Bayern legend than Barca legend but i think many Bayern fans dont like him anymore after he left for Barca

I don't consider him a Barca legend personally. More of a cult hero/icon.

He's undoubtedly a huge Football legend though.
Kind of similar to RVP at United. Could have been better and probably had a CL if Flick had come with him in 22.
