I lived in Chicago for several years, very strong Polish community

Fire has a decent following although it is arguably the 5th or 6th sport in a town crazy for sports. Great, great city though - loved those years

Maximum respect to him for choosing MLS team with strong Polish community/ roots. Plus the gloom and gray of Chicago is probably eerily reminiscent of Poland.

Will always be remembered at Barca as important figure in our revival along with La Masia and Don Hansi (and even Xavi, even if just in league).

Very true, only to say while most won't know the Fire there is indeed a very strong & loyal base of local fans - I used to play pickup in parks there, a lot of expats too apart from latin communities and the multicultural mix of greater Chicagoland area. Football interest is strong but again, it's a sports town

The Lewandowskis will no doubt love it although I struggle to see Europeans staying long-term in US. It's not Barcelona but has a great vibe, one I prefer to NYC (overall), tbh - plus so much to do. I do miss Ravinia nights listening to Tony Bennett under the stars with great food, friends and laughs

Agree with everything except this that best version of Yamal was 24/25.

Very strange hearing it from someone who played with him as well. 25/26 Yamal is a better player by far. Gained speed, moved more quickly with the ball, much better with finishing.

I think people say this only because of the Inter performance and true Yamal hasn't produced nothing similar ever since. But he was also pretty damn good vs Atletico over two legs.

And like I said his league performances are so much better in 25/26. Yamal and Joan won Barca many league games. He only didn't deliver as many G/A in the big games, but he was good in most of them just shit finishing by Ferran and co.
 
Lewa used to moan like fuck about chances not being created when he couldnt score.

Probably excuses about Yamal not being as good as to why he didnt score as many last season.

Think he's right. Yamal was better 2 seasons ago. So let's see what happens next season and will he turn it around.

I remember when Lewandowski arrived at Barca, he couldn't score during the pre season matches either. Those were in the States. He got his first goal on Camp Nou against some side from South America...from Brazil, I think. He is slow to adapt, it seems.

I watched his debut against Miami, the level of the match was so poor and Lewy just is on a bad team tbh - their only goal on a bizarre keeper blunder from Miami. Luis Suarez OTOH, what a couple of goals he had - still got it
