Robert Lewandowski

It was just about high time...
He was never what we paid for in wages, bar the first 3 months until the WC '22.

Yes he scored a lot, but don't look at the number of goals. Flick's system maximizes number of chances, and output, and this is evident with others as well like Ferran. His contribution those last 4 years isn't anywhere close the 26m gross per season.
In my eyers, Lewa epitomized Fatporta's and Xavi's MISUSE of levers for short-term gains which gave us long-term perils

Hopefully we can truly now unlock the potential of Flickball with a striker who is capable of dropping deep and breaking opposition pressing.
Let's see. The incoming ST can make or break the next 3 years, both in financial and sporting terms.
Fingers crossed we will make the correct choice

His output was good and especially in the first season he came up with some clutch performances and goals in the league and saved us a few times.

But like you point out the main problem is that his all around game was too weak. At Barca, scoring a lot of goals as the striker is the minimum expected, 30 goals from any starting striker should be expected, you have to also be strong in the all-around game. And I think that he didn't show enough playmaking, pressing, holdup play and duel winning to help us find an outlet in possession. He also couldn't threaten that much in behind and after one or two seasons you practically had to give him the ball in the box or he wasn't useful. Plus, he ran out of energy quickly in the high intensity games sometimes.

I was surprised at the regression in his linkup/CF play. He really didn't contribute as much as I expected playing with his back to goal and linking play.

Good output (but expected), inadequate all around game.

I would not class his signing as a disaster or terrible. But we could have done better.

Still, big thank you to him for having a major contribution to 2 LaLigas.

Very respectable decision. The club offered him one more season, but he knows his time at this level is up and he's too proud to sit on the bench and play the rotation role.

Together with CR7 probably the most professional athlete on the highest level. No bad noise, no drama, despite his star status he had when he came. All the young players looked up to him and praised him during these 4 years and that is evidence enough.

I still remember the announcement and strange feeling, like it was yesterday for THE Bayern legend to come to us. In the end, the chapter was a total success.

A rolemodel and legend of the sport through and through, being able to play at the absolute top level until 38. Maybe a handful strikers can boast about it.

Thanks Lewy and enjoy the last years of you career.

That's actually true, he was never really what we paid for except the 3 months before WC 22 where he was the whole package. After that he was rag dolled and mostly did tap ins.

Very grateful for his service to the club, a legitimate legend of game & Barça - gentleman and fantastic example to usher in the new era when club was at its lowest

He didn’t come to collect wages but win titles and raise the level of a very young side during an extremely stressful financial situation for the club. Could’ve dialed it in but he bonded with fans and the young players, deferring even to Lamine and scored some memorable goals in big matches. Brought back a lot of joy and he seemed to love the ride, what’s not to appreciate

He did very little to help younger players.

If anything was seen as a poor influence around them and lambasted them constantly until he realised he wasnt the main man.

Then he flipped to acting like a teenager with Yamal etc when realised he was below him in pecking order.

It is telling that the players never voted him as a captain and was never this great leader as some try to make out.

Paid far far too much for a player of his age that had no value at end of contract.

Legend of the game and of the club. Full stop.

Part of the best Barça attacking trio since MSN. An incredible professional who gave his everything in every minute he spent on the pitch. Came to a club in severe financial and sporting chaos as one of world's best footballers at the time, because he believed in our project and was ready to be a part of it.

As a footballer, top 3 striker to ever wear a Barça shirt. Behind R9 and Romario. Beast in his prime who was robbed of a ballon d'or

I hope he scores vs Betis. I wasn't even aware his departure is now official.

Its too bad we didn't get him earlier but he's made his mark at the club and we should thank him. He came at a time when we were down and he's helped in the rebuild.
His team mates clearly hold him in high regard and know him alot better than we do. Good luck to him and I wouldn't be surprised to see him back at the club in some capacity. Even though he was a bigger legend at Bayern his affection for this club is greater.
