Sergio Ramos financially backed by investment group Five Eleven Capital is very close to buy Sevilla. After prolonged negotiations yesterday some reports suggests that deal could already be sealed today but should in any case be done by the end of the month when Ramos's exclusive negotiations period expires.

Hopefully he has a good plan to rebuild the club and better days are coming for them. La Liga needs a strong Sevilla.

After two consecutive wins they are also in a better position on the table though still not safe. They play Villarreal A, Madrid H and Celta A so not an easy schedule on paper but first two teams don't play for anything anymore and I expect they'll get enough points to stay up.

Things have reached a perverse state nowadays, if players can buy tradition clubs shortly after retiring, whether with the help of investors or not. We're not talking about a village club, but one of the biggest LaLiga clubs with a huge history and many national and international titles. The whole system is rotten to the core.
 
Fuck 'em. Used to like them. Have some of the best chants in La Liga and probably the best himno, which is what made me have a soft spot for them.

But their sanctimonious response to the whole Negreira myth left a bad taste. Especially since no other team has been screwed over by referees against Madrid, more than them. They should know who owns the refs in the country.

Fuck 'em. Get down to Liga 2 and take Ramos with you. :alveshat:

Sevilla has reached an agreement with Sirius for Robbie Ure to serve as the team's number 9 for the next five seasons. The 22-year-old Scottish forward is enjoying an outstanding campaign in Sweden, having tallied 20 goals in 20 matches.

The transfer—first reported by MARCA last Wednesday—could reach a total value of €9.2 million if all performance-based add-ons are met. Robbie Ure is set to arrive in Seville this Monday or Tuesday to undergo a medical examination and finalize the move. Born in Glasgow, he has represented Scotland at the youth international level. Standing 1.89 meters tall, he is noted for his physical power and his ability to exploit open spaces.

After Robbie Ure, the Seville-based club is on the verge of signing another forward. A 19-year-old Nigerian standing 1.85 meters tall, he currently plays for Al-Ittihad. The player wants to return to Europe, and talks with the Saudi club are already underway. George Ilenikhena, who shone at Royal Antwerp and Monaco, arrived in the Middle East just six months ago for a fee of around €33 million.
