I'm not so sure with Spain, their defense and attack don't look as anything special except Yamal. France have a deeper and more complete squad, but it's true there is a question mark because of their egos and compability of all those talents.

Plenty of things to complain yeah. Number of teams is most preposterous.

Have to note the quality declined too. 90s and 00s had way better and entertaining players.

Yeah that's probably the most idiotic, most of the group stage will be irrelevant. Next WC it's going up again to 64 right? They totally ruined the perfect format that we had with 32 teams and EURO with 16.

I agree with this.

Plus they have that terrorist LDF

That's right, he will ruin even the midfield with moving Pedri to #10 so he can play defensive double pivot behind him. I'm not saying they can't go far but it's not so clear cut as some think.

Also France's midfield is questionable to the point where they brought back a 35 year old Kante.

The only one that I rate is Kone.

If nico doesn't make it, I would start Zaragoza, Spain leveled up when they found two wingers in yamal and nico, I think he offers the closest thing to Nico in the squad

Having experience the first 90 degree days in the North East last week.

This WC is gonna be brutal and likey poor quality due to the heat and most games will be played during the day.

Not with that defense and goalie.

Also, Rodri is past it and Yamal won't be match-fit. Their 2 main players.

Imagine starting Simon over Raya. 🤡

Simons is one of the best GK in the World and truly underrated. People would have been saying different things if he wasn't loyal to Bilbao.

Throw-in countdown (five seconds): If a player deliberately delays the restart of play, the throw can be given to the opposition.

Goal-kick countdown (five seconds): Also applies to deliberate attempts to run down the clock and can result in a corner being awarded.

Time-limited substitutions (10 seconds): Substituted players have 10 seconds to leave the field at the nearest point. If they fail to do so, the substitute cannot enter the field for at least one minute and the team must continue with 10 players.

Off-field treatment (one minute): Players who are treated by the physio must stay off the field for 60 seconds. There are some exceptions, including for goalkeepers, injuries and if the opponent is booked or sent off.

Hope they strictly implement this and after the WC in club football too. RIP Arsenal
