In the air, it doesn't take much to tilt a player the wrong way while pushing him. If he was not jumping, it's not a pen. He was jumping when he was pushed, so it's a penalty.

Player from PSG doesn't even make the slightest effort to jump with him. Just makes sure to push him to not get to the ball.

He didn't push him in mid air, but before jump started.

Birdy, I get it with you, for you only the most blatant penalties should be called. For me it's different. Defenders have many tools to bother attackers, many contacts should not be called as fouls, but this type should. As well as tripping players, you also think that is fine and the attacker just has to jump over obstacles if he can do it.

No, its not it, and its not about the amount of force.
It's who initiates contact first and foremost, a concept you don't get as we saw with the cases of Elliot and Raphina
Then, the force and position of contact (like stud on ankle for instance) should be taken into account for the card

Don't want to side-track the thread, but the defender initiates the contact the moment he sticks his leg in the attacker's running path towards the ball. That's the definition of tripping someone. You stick your leg and force the attacker to do obstacle jumping. If he doesn't, and he doesn't have to, contact is made and it's a pen.
