Willing to give Araujo the benefit of doubt though as despite him being a poor passer that was even frustrating Kounde tonight, he has just returned and the conditions were poor tonight.

Casado plays more like a CM than a DM, which is also an issue. He does not have the intuition to know when to risk a pass and when to temporize.

Araujo looks like loose cannon to me. I was willing to give him shot under Flick. But even in duels where he gets to ball first and heads it will just head into benfica player.

He’s been absent for a while but prefer inigo.

Benfica were trained especially for that: timing their runs from the 2nd line to beat our last high line.
It worked in some cases, in some others we caught them offside

Hansi will evaluate it and improve the team.

Flick should not include Araujo in the squad for the next match to send a point across. You simply don't signal for offside mid-play in times of VAR and score an own goal of the result of not paying attention to the opponent's play while watching what will the linesman do.

Do it.

Unfortunately, with Araujo, this is how he is. Still, will be useful vs stronger teams in 1 vs 1. Just don't give him a very high wage, and sell if an offer above 50 comes. We can be in control in his case.

Ideally we don't end up in these type of dogfights as often as we've done this season.

But it's nice to see the team have some heart and fight in them. Doesn't always work out, but they also don't give up.

Signaling for an offside mid-play is the shit that shouldn't happen. Especially in times of automated VAR. If a player does that, I would bench the hell out of him. If he continues it, drop him from the squad.
