He is still essential to this team even on a not so great night. He was imprecise this match and vs Getafe, but in the last second he won the game.

UCL big games these days are all about having a good enough outlet that can punish risky approaches by the opposition and a goalkeeper who can keep you in the game under pressure. That's why Madrid are the team to beat, because, ref's magic aside, they have the most lethal runner in recent years (Vinicius) and Courtois can pull miracles out of his ass.

We have a good enough outlet on Raph, we're just missing the keeper. Hopefully he can keep this form in the KOs.
