Pedri has 20% more carries per 90 and also edges him in the rest of the metrics (progressive distance, into final third etc) by 10 or more percent, bit odd to call that a tie innit.
Gravenberch only better in Interceptions and tackles.
Pedri is better in all passing metrics, and more progressive. Twice or triple the amount of switches, long passes, key passes, through balls etc.
Better dribbler. More goals. More Assists.
I'd say stats don't do Pedri's influence on the pitch justice, but unless you think tackles and interceptions are the most important stats for a midfielder, then Pedri pretty much crushes Gravenberch.
Was also more to underline just how much stats favour Pedri, even tho I don't think they do him justice as said.Don't disagree
DM vs CM/advanced CM. Some of those stats will always favour a more advanced midfielder.
Gravenberch has been more influential and consistent this season. Carrying the midfield of the best team in the world when his midfield partners Szoboszlai and Macca haven't been consistent. Pedri's midfield partners Casado and Olmo have been brilliant.
Is Pedri a better player than Gravenberch? Yes because Gravenberch was a total flop at Bayern and Liverpool pre Slot and Football didn't start this season.
Has Gravenberch been the best and most influential midfielder (including all kinds of midfielders) in the world this season? Absolutely. His consistency and impact on the team has been phenomenal. Week in. Week out.
The reason people on this forum aren't ready to accept this opinion is because Gravenberch was a dud before this season while Pedri was always good. Reputation tax. If Gravenberch was a big name player like Bellingham, we wouldn't even have this debate.
"How can this failed wonderkid possibly have a better season than our golden boy?!"
This season
Best Defender in the World: Virgil
Best Midfielder in the World: Ryan
Best Attacker in the World: Raphinha(although Salah is a better Footballer in general and very close this season)

Claim Grvenberch has better stats - fail to bring any of it - write bullshit.DM vs CM/advanced CM. Some of those stats will always favour a more advanced midfielder.

Next will be eye test which Pedri also absoluteBit over the top to blame on ther respective positions innit? Pedri is part of a double pivot, not playing as a AM. This is part of the reason he's been so much more influential this season, he's playing deeper than ever before. If you check their heat maps you'll see it's not a big difference between the two.
Bit funny to blame quality/consistency among midfield partners when Olmo has been Mr. Injury this season and Casado is starting to lose his place in the XI. Just checked sofascore aswell, and Macca and Dominik both have better ratings this season than Casado and Olmo (Olmo tie with Dominik).
Also to be clear, it's not that Pedri has a few percent more through balls because he's a wee bit more advanced.
He has TWICE the amount of through balls.
Has completed SIX times more switches of play.
THREE times more long passes completed.
TWICE as many assists and xA.
TWICE as many key passes.
TWICE as many shot creating actions.
THRICE as many goal creating actions.
Again, more progressive carries, better dribbler.
He has 4 goals, Gravenberch 0. Sofascore rating is 7,52 vs 7,17.
This is an absolute slam dunk in terms of general passing ability and offensive output. Hard to pin it on him being a bit more advanced honestly.
You should never have requested a comparison of stats. All that's left to back up your claim is your own biased opinion. If Gravenberch is better at anything other than interceptions, there is no objective way to quantify it atm.
