And people want to tell me CL is tougher nowadays because of better runners
Vintage CL nights and late inzaghi goals.. that team did well in CL every season but they underachieved MASSIVELY in terms of winning Calcio.

What they're doing to the referees here in Spain at the moment is unbelievable. You also have to think about the referees' families. All of us make mistakes - everyone. It's the responsibility of the coaches and the players to protect them,’ said the Heidelberg native in an energetic appeal to the public.

‘I don't like it when we waste our energy arguing with the referee. No! The referee makes his decision and now we have the VAR. We have to trust them. And the association has to show how strong it is. That's very important for me because we have to change these things a bit because they are human and it's normal to make mistakes. All of us make mistakes, we have to protect them,’ said Flick.

Technically Flick has only one high profile opponent to knock out before reaching CL final, something that hasn't happened to the club for a whole decade.

So it should be either Inter or Bayern in the SF of CL imo, sadly, with the return leg away but not necessarily the end of the world now with the away goal rule eliminated and Barca not having Camp Nou at disposal either.

It's really a dream draw. Bayern is not gonna be in the semis. I hope they are because German teams are ideal opponent for us.

Almost a dream draw, if the return leggs for the next ties would've been at home for Barca but still very very good draw nonetheless.

I'd love to see Inter knocked out either by Feynoord or Bayern before a potential SF against Barca, let's hope for this

Honestly, a tie vs. Inter with the away leg away is a very complicated task even for Flick's Barca.

Yeah, CL semis are supposed to be complicated. Let's get into the semis first. A draw as good as this season ain't gonna happen again soon.

Of all things he has done for the club so far this is what I value the most. We have a young generation of players coming forward and it's good they are introduced to football with this mentality and will be shaped through its philosophy. Even when Flick is gone, they will remember that excuses can never be tolerated in Barça.
He's very professional. Something that was lacking at Barcelona. Sentiments FC.
