Yeah I can understand moving it a day or two for rest, but canceling a fixture IMO Is absolute bullshit and really ruins the whole spirit of CL where you need to balance league games with mid week CL nights. It's the same turnaround.
Madrid - Saturday and Tuesday game
Barcelona - Sunday and Wednesday game.
These small leagues like Farmers, Harvest and Porkchop help their clubs with moving games to Friday's or even cancelling, but no not LaLiga.
It is what it is. Benfica will still get roasted.
EDIT
To add, I actually think it is crazy for leagues to casually allow their sides to cancel fixtures like this. UEFA should have it against the rules.

Exactly. It is straight up taking an unfair advantage, especially if other leagues do not allow it.
Not to mention that they also get an advantage over their porkchop cup opponent on the prior Wednesday as they can go harder knowing there is no weekend game- while their opponents do.
I think a complaint should be filed as it sets a bad precedent. But LaLiga would prefer to fight against their own clubs interests like we saw with Olmo and Dani Alves.
tbf for Valencia, they did spread their legs wider for us from our recent 2 matches with them.Valencia soo useless these days. Bottled an easy win against Madrid and now spreading legs for Atletico.
