It was the correct decision because we re-gained possession after the handball, only to lose the ball once again which led to the Atletico goal.

So VAR protocol-wise it was correct.

Now why the blind referee didn't spot it when it was 5 meters away from him right when it happened is another issue.

Disagree as said in the other thread. It can't count as a different phase as there was no advantage from playing on in the first place.

Maybe, but it's a bit tough to gauge where you'll stop it though. Can become very subjective from referee to referee.
I'm not sure how it's exactly written down in the rules book, but that was at least the interpretation of the rules expert on the channel I was on.

I thought that first time too. That it was a different phase.

But then if the referee doesn't give the initial infringement, and then you receive no advantage from playing on.

Then that is a double punishment

And then to top it off you concede a goal and Xavi gets himself sent off.

We might have the toughest opponents until the end but we also have a lot of home games. Only 4 away games left and they're not that hard except for San Mames but I hope league will be decided by the last matchday.

Madrid also has 4 away games left but all except Alaves are pretty dangerous, also got some tricky teams at home like Bilbao, Sociedad and Celta.

Atletico has 6 away games left and likes of Betis at home, morally crushed and now a little behind I think they might be out of the equation for now.

Good chance the Real Madrid game will be the decider.

Plust the Osasuna game at home.
MUST win the first 5 games before the Classico at home, all easy
and the two away against LL fodder until then

Frankly, I don't know how some of those refs can sleep at night knowing they decieved millions of people.

Also, sure hundreds of them worldwide bet regularly via proxies on specials like cards, penalties, etc.

They sleep very well.
Madritista cunts most of them, some also corrupted and some addicted to illegal betting...

Lol, a lot of time has passed, but it's just like Lahoz to draw attention on himself again. There's no guarantees Atletico don't score again. We were already stupid enough to let Godin take a free header from a corner after we had 1-0.

I'm more pissed off about 2017 tbh, some incredible referee errors in almost every tough away game that season.
