Agree that he should be inRegarding the FIFPro list that @Temptation posted in Lewy thread, like I said I agree with majority of the list but the fact Neymar is excluded from top 20 players in 21st century is just crazy. Then when you look at the comments few people even complain about it.
The narrative of Ney being some kind of a failed talent is a big exaggeration of his underachievement. He could have potentially became a much greater footballer than he now is, but that doesn't neutralize how great he already is and how much he has achieved and contributed in his career.
He is a Santos legend, won them a Copa Libertadores trophy while also showing outragoue skill every week, becoming a superstar then leaving for massive money. In Barça he won us the treble being the best player that season along with Messi. His performances rarely short of impressive. He went to PSG and continued with it, even improving his general play. Massive effort in 2020 to win them CL with a masterclass in final only to be let down by stupid misses and his team's bozoism.
Constant carryjob of worst ever Selecao lineups to some kind of world cup relevance with ridiculous performances on the international stage, winning the confederation cup as well. People usually shamelessly point out how he won nothing for Brazil when it would take a miracle to do it with teammates he had (injury arguably stopped him from achieving that miracle in 2014). Then there is 2022 when he scored a clutch goal basically on his own only for his teammates to do everything in their power to fuck it up as quickly as possible.
Overall I have the impression as time goes by he's starting to get more and more underrated by the football world.

At least it's in the Americas, which history tells us gives South American sides a better chance than when in Europe. Plus Brazil have already won the World Cup in the USA.In 2026 I'd like to see Neymar's Brazil win it, even more than Spain. It looks impossible and it probably is. But things may change until then, who knows.
Brazil surely has the quality upfront. Vinicius, Rodrygo, Raphinha, Neymar, Endrick and Estevao when they develop will be machines too. Maybe more quality in attack than any other national team.
But there are no fighters in midfield and defence. Nobody who I can count to give his everything for Neymar in the world cup. To fight like they did for Messi last world cup.
They need a better coach who will motivate the players and tell them to wake the fuck up. This Dorival has no authority on his players, he looks lost. Currently they are no serious contenders but by then they might become. I hope that happens.
Neymar will be retired by 2026 he doesn’t have much time leftIn 2026 I'd like to see Neymar's Brazil
