End of the Ancelotti cycle. His off the field tax problems may be an issue for him too as he is looking more affected by decisions than usual.

Xabi will make them better next season, but this season has dampered the perception around him a bit.

Why are we so sure about this?

The toughest part of being a top manager is delivering when there's expectations. When Leverkusen were expected to do well (this season), they were miserable in CL and decent in BL.

Last season they caught people by surprise and still got destroyed in Europa.

I'm not sure about it mate. But I think it's time for their new managerial cycle and I can't see a more logical candidate for them than Xabi.

Xabi done good last season bar the Europa final. This year showing more his level.

So I don't know how he would do long term, but I think first season, will give us problems.
