Heart in mouth any time he tries to play it out from back but did ok.
Was cleaner on ball than Kounde on other side though.

Can't be the only one who thinks Martin will step in and look ok.
And I'm not even fan of him. Preferred Fort there.
System will take care of it. Pedri and Raphinha are hardest workers in the team and they play close to that left side. Inigo as well is close to provide guidance.
We'll obviously miss Balde's speed but that's it mostly.

Makes sense.
Once he got the club back to 1:1 and the Olmo signing registered for LaLiga, he was able to concentrate on his football.

I was about to say the following yesterday but fell asleep.
Silver lining is he has looked better overtime.
Maybe he can handle the Inter job.

Good part is that if he can handle this type of pressure he will solidify his spot as a squad level fullback.
Think he will be ok, passing is not great but on the plus side, he doesn't make big errors. Keeps it simple.
Madrid speedsters playing on our right side is another plus. Rodrygo is in bad form and is not a 1vs1 danger like Vinicius and occasionally Mbappe.
But we absolutely need Balde at his best should we reach the CL final. Dembele and potentially Saka can cause bigger problems there.

Depends on what you want. Martin has more physicality, height and aerial presence. Balde has way more recovery pace and agility.
Balde's recovery pace is great for Flick's crazy high line.
Martin would be better at defending a more physical/technical attacker. Balde would be better at defending an attacker with explosive speed.
Balde would be a better defender against a Dembele. Martin would be better against current Salah.
