Pep is obviously better but Messi doesn't blame EV for everything like you people do.

Quick Google search tells you that Messi didn't blame him for the bottlejobs at all.

Anyways, I don't see the Roma and Liverpool bottlejobs as big tactical mistakes at all. The team crumbled in the clutch moments and bottled chances to put the game to bed. Also, that day Liverpool didn't win. Peak Anfield did. When the game started, I already knew we were winning the tie within the first 10 minutes of the return leg. There was a weird sense of inevitability in the air in that game. We were without Salah and Bobby. The Anfield crowd mentally defeated Barca. It was one of those days. Was never in doubt for me. Even when we were down by 3. That Liverpool squad and manager was SPECIAL.

Doesn't change the fact at all that Messi rates other coaches ahead of EV. As Captain, you don't criticize a specific teammate or your coach in public.

Nobody is disagreeing that the players are blame free but Roma and Liverpool are big tactical mistakes. If you can't see what those mistakes are, then I can't help you. This topic has been discussed already so you can find past posts on this.

I hope people realize that when players go to an away European field in CL semis like complete cowards and with zero courage, mentally lost and shocked by the immense crowd the blame is partially shared by the coach as well

Managing players mentally and encouraging them to control their emotions is also what makes a great manager

That's why it was obvious Liverpool is turning it around the moment Barça players set their foot on the pitch
