    Mavericky Puig

It is poor opposition in my mind too. I could see Bebes strengths and weaknesses in the first clips that appeared, I could see Gavis or Nicos level too before they played top level, etc. I see they play tonight vs Toronto FC, hope to see new clips!

    Mavericky Puig

Your point is fine and correct, but it DOES say a lot to those that can see. Those who cannot see need games against top opposition, and some hype from journalists and the likes, to be able to judge a player. Also, this player played even better facing Atletico de Madrid or Juventus, for example.

    Ousmane Dembélé

He also plays with complete freedom, getting all the balls safely for him to try and create, often he fails with more than 1/2 of what he attempts. Raphinha plays much better in a similar role.

    Ousmane Dembélé

I doubt his IQ is close to average. He plays like shit, too!

    Xavi Hernández

Yeah Pep goes mental sometimes, but it is usually when he senses the intensity is falling a bit - it is often when the team is in a 3-goal lead, or if a player does something that is clearly not what is instructed. He uses his body language and his authority very well in getting his team to play...

    Mavericky Puig

Nice assist, and such a joy to watch him in the highlights too, always eager to get the ball, playing simply but correctly and quickly, with calmness and clarity. Here you can see a few more actions from that game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqaNPA-1zuQ

    Memphis Depay

What a perfect deal, Depay could look really good for accepting a lower wage, but then be even less of a "free" deal later, needing to be paid to leave. Here we are, one year later, he has played pretty terribly, is now the last option for attack, and holds up a spot and a decent salary - a...

    Sergio Busquets

Yeah and who knows what daily form or luck FC Barcelona will have 8 months from now? How many of Real Madrids latest CL victories were predicted or even deemed realistic this time of the season? Of course FCB can always contend for CL, as quarters are to be expected. There aren't eight teams in...

    Sergio Busquets

If they contend for the league or even the double then they are also contenders for the CL of course. QF contenders is stupid.

La Liga Round 2: Real Sociedad - FC Barcelona 1-4

if you can call them people

    Memphis Depay

doesn't make me a confused neurotic jew. it was written from the start this would mean trouble
  12. Bobo32

    Xavi Hernández

Of course it is better that Xavi manages than that Ancelotti does. But Xavi might get more of what he demands, so if his demands are a bit shit, then in some ways Ancelotti might be better still in some ways in the long term... Your point about Pep and Ajax is after the fact. I do not think...

    Xavi Hernández

^good post by xXKonan So far, a bit underwhelmed by Xavi. I really shilled for him, a long time before it finally happened, but so far he didn't show much. I think he speaks well still, but he seems unable to grasp the big picture of the game, too focused on details maybe and not able to get it...

    Sergio Busquets

The rest of the starting eleven were pretty much bought in the last year if not the last month or is Dembele, so. In a different universe, Riqui Puig is on 200 games for Barcelona and is already a captain.
  15. Bobo32

    Mavericky Puig

Yeah Setien trusted him in the beginning, and probably did in the end too, but in the end he was too weak to stand by his opinion and let somebody else pick the team etc. Nice quotes to read, still humble and diplomatic. Must catch some games, did he make his debut yet?

    Martin Braithwaite

As I wrote earlier, one of the things that can influence a players choice. Protip; don't hand out long contracts to mediocre players
  17. Bobo32

    Memphis Depay

Not if you are sold no. Managers aren't often bought. The club can't force a player to break his contract, or to agree to a move. The player is in his right to sit out the contract. If the club tries to force you to leave, then it is another negotiation where they NEGOTIATE what parts of what...
  18. Bobo32

    Memphis Depay

Busquets is the captain of the team, whatever you think about that. He plays every game. I think it is a bit high to expect him to retire or break his own contract because a lot of bums on the internet are tired of him.
  19. Bobo32

    Sergio Gomez

One year ago. Maybe he is a big talent after all? Or is he not? Confusing... Celta/City pretty much the same thing
  20. Bobo32

    8 - Pedri

If you think these are similar you are daft - they are polar opposites. Xavi got the ball while pressured, lifted it over the presser and released it perfectly for a player facing forwards, with both space and time. Pedri got the ball completely open, had a bad first touch, then he just threw...
