Zidane or Iniesta surely can win the game by their own. Something Xavi probably isn't known for. But Xavi can take his team to the higher level than both of them. A bit unfair for Iniesta cause he never actually had the the team built around him, like Zidane or Xavi.

Pedri is quite different to Iniesta. And Iniesta had Messi (a 10). If Iniesta played in current Barca, i think he would play a 10 like how Pedri nowadays is asked to play.

You are right that Pedri now isn't suited to play that high. But i think if he wants to be the best, he must become that kind of player. He must improve.

Peak R10 is way better than peak Zidane. But Zidane is greater when you consider their career, not just peak.

Zidane played with the best generation of France football: Henry, Pires, Thuram, Desailly, Vieira, Blanc, Lizarazu.... Don't act like he played with some bums. If Zidane played in today football, he would be criticized much more, due to his inconsistency at club level.

Pedri is asked to play behind striker/forward line this season. He makes good through balls/passes to split opponent's defense. But other than that, like many here already said, he lacks of aggressiveness for an attacking midfielder, which is his biggest weakness.

Gundogan has like 11 G+A while playing somewhat deeper. Xavi uses Pedri as an AM or a 10 this season. Xavi always asks him to get 10 goals and 10 assists. So it's not like the team don't set up for midfielders to get goals.

Nothing to do with Xavi when Felix is always average for most of his career. Only have few good performances.

I think Xavi now lacks of truly creative player, an attacking midfielder who can make differences. If Pedri can transform into that player, think Xavi's football will be much better.
