Anyone to push Alba more far away from the pitch is a good option in my book. Him becoming maybe even 3rd choice instead of 2nd accomplishes that, even if the new 2nd isn't that better. Hopefully Balde keeps developing as good as he has been, and Alonso also surprises us.

A few years ago he was still good. By now he was rejecting all other offers (from Italy) cause he was prepared to wait until the end of the window for us, basically begging us to take him. Glad that we're playing it safe with just a one year deal...at least he'll have something to prove/play...
