    Hans-Dieter Flick

Of course. YouTube, "Welcome To Barcelona" videos and Football Manager 2024 database, etc. Those Twitter journalists are hit/miss accurate like the tweets Flick was learning Spanish intensively in February when Xavi first announced his departure.

Pre-season usually starts around July 10. Some knocked out take their vacation right away, not waiting for the final game of EURO. Abysmal to think Lewa knocked out in the group stage late June to arrive in late July.

    Hans-Dieter Flick

10 days wasted, could have been spent in tactical preparation, not training necessarily. Matter of fact Flick will not have the best players at his disposal till early July due to EURO/Copa America. Nobody goes to Ibiza with football in mind.

Talks with Deco in English. Not fluent in Spanish, yet. And Laporta knows English "a little".

    19 - Lamine Yamal

I could tell in recent months Lamine looked bigger compared to last summer. Normal growth spurt for a 16-year-old. Great to see he's been on a muscle programme as well.

On Fati - likely another loan to a newly promoted EPL team. Or relegated EPL team playing in Championship next season. It will get worse to offload him in the future, with Barca shared percentage of his killer contract rising each year. That's reality. Inigo's case is harder to solve given his...

    Barca squad/XI 2024/25

There are clubs who are always on the line. In Fati and Inigo's case their big salaries make it impossible for permanent move. Options are either loan them out with shared salary percentage scheme or keep them, but unlisted from La Liga to not burden the salary cap, meanwhile ruining their season.

    Barca squad/XI 2024/25

I'm doing the 0m list as well: In (main position first) CM/DM Adrien Rabiot CB/LB Mario Hermoso (Atletico Madrid) DM/CM Guido Rodriguez (Betis) AM/CM Daichi Kamada (Lazio) - deadline is tomorrow, when the 3-year extension clause is triggered. Joao Cancelo (on loan) Matheus Nunes (loan) (Man...

    Bayern München

“Our sporting director has chosen Kompany, it is not yet official but there are only the last details to be sorted out,” Rummenigge, Bayern’s former CEO, revealed to Sky Sports. “I am convinced that Kompany will arrive in the end." “Guardiola spoke to us in a very positive way about Vincent. He...

Well, we all sound like Xavi in his infamous post-match press conference before the sack. Real Madrid will dominate. Of course there will be competition and jealousy for playing time and positions.

    Xavi Hernández

That's still foregoing 80% of his salary owed. Which is around 10m. That's huge. Don't want to gossip about contract conditions in the previous scenario in which he was to resign at the end of season 2023/24. Xavi loves the club and leaves with dignity, but people will still argue he'd gotten...

    Hans-Dieter Flick

@Birdy, you are taking this gamble on Flick too personal. Like your life depends on it. The most normal thing is majority of people here to be skeptic, including myself. But that doesn't mean I wish him nothing but success. The first Barca outsider since Tata Martino to manage the club...
