    Joan Laporta

I thought the Xavi, Xavi, Xavi moment was not gold, but sort of like Laportas own "You can't handle the truth". It should have been. He lost face by needing to go low like that against a candidate that should be respected for his vision. I lost respect for Laporta there, but maybe it was +EV for...

    Joan Laporta

I believe Laporta is certainly 'good enough', but some of his decisions have looked a bit dubious to me, there are things that could be questioned. There is an insane strength in the club and the squad however, and after 10 years of terrible and corrupt leadership, one year of good leadership...

FC Barcelona: Win of the youth system

Yeah Zuk looks great not only in highlights or goals, but watched him play a couple of games and he seems to be one of few players that young whom I could say will become great, barring injuries or other force majeure type things.

    La Liga 2021/22

Just bringing up a few old posts... If they win the game in hand now they are at 2nd with 9p up to Madrid and 9 games to go. It is a realistic possibility, Madrid could very well drop more than 9 points, and Barcelona could very well go clean from here. After the destruction in Madrid, and...

    Frenkie de Jong

I think it is more the story of his proponents. As he seldom fails spectacularly, mostly seem ambitious, runs quite a lot, and often does one or two very nice things per game, he is praised by those who don't even attempt to evaluate him as one part of the team. I think he has been played in...

    8 - Pedri

Don't like the arguments/conclusions in that video, might argue against them later.

    7 - Ferran Torres

Messi + Torres could be a pretty great pair! Imagine Haaland too! But imagine Messi returning with a small salary life long honorary contract or something like that, motivated to prove himself but at the same time satisfied and realizing he won't play every minute of every game. Would be pretty...

    Xavi Hernández

It's probably partly better PEDs but it is mostly about a smarter setup and a better leadership with a better attitude.

    4 - Ronald Araújo

Ok, my memory is quite short. I was maybe thinking of another game where he made tantrums from the stands... edit: Had you seen the clip with Koeman before and know from which game it was? Umtiti in so it's not that many to choose from...

    4 - Ronald Araújo

No I don't know but I questioned it. I don't think your post gives any clarity though...

    4 - Ronald Araújo

Hm I wonder if this was really the same game in this clip: https://twitter.com/__Seidu/status/1505992514322452482 If so, I take back the doubts and sarcasms over his reaction, he had all the right to be upset and probably didn't do it for the camera at all.

    24 - Eric García

I wonder what it'll take for you to post a thought of your own! I have posted sparingly in the Puig thread when he didn't play, and when I posted it wasn't just bad attempts at jokes! This thread is about Garcia, please discuss his great passes and constructive tackles instead of discussing...

    24 - Eric García

Nice game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjBdM6LrP6U Perfect profile for me, so nice combination of composure and aggression, and his buildup passes are great!

    8 - Pedri

He was part of a team that dominated against Real Madrid and won 4-0, with the midfield setup that I didn't like before. In the first half, he looked to me to be the "weak link" in some ways though, he was the one who lost the ball most I must think, in silly ways some of the time. Him being...

La Liga | Round 29: Real Madrid - FC Barcelona 0-4

I thought the opposite with regards to bravery: he went with "bigger names" (yes Araujo is a bigger name than 39 year current Alves) and is leaning away from the football HE should want to play, in an attempt to defend Madrids strengths, I have the exact same worries as you with the midfield...

La Liga | Round 29: Real Madrid - FC Barcelona 0-4

Three things I dislike very much: Gavi not starting, Frenkie and Pedri has not worked well together, especially in tougher games. Araujo starting ahead of Alves, weak and undefendable I think Dembele starting ahead of Traore - I think he is much better from the bench and might be a big problem...

La Liga | Round 29: Real Madrid - FC Barcelona 0-4

I expect a dominating and crushing performance from Barcelona. The main issue is their midfield, it is of very high class. Vinicius is fast but should be handled with ease if only their midfield is outperformed. A potential issue is Courtois who could play very well and make it difficult to score.

    8 - Pedri

Missed this post. My post was an honest and fair description of his playing style, filled with original thought and examples. It can't be said to be empty of meaning, but maybe you saw hints of meaning you didn't like so you posted this mean reply to my discussion attempt? Porque liked my post...

    8 - Pedri

Yeah I agree with this, and another thing Pedri does well is play the defenders out against each other, making them both think it's the other one who should pressure and tackle. Naturally, there are more players centrally and so more opportunities for these kinds of actions. I don't think he is...

    8 - Pedri

The key to Pedris dribbling I think is his awareness combined with a great feel for the tempo. He so often waits one ms before taking his touch, or gets to the ball one ms earlier than expected, making the defender unable to follow since they expected the touch to come one tempo earlier or later...
