    8 - Pedri

I hope so! I see improvements but as with the team I see a lot of fall backs into bad habits. He had one truly great game, the one with the Riquelme turn, I liked how he played then. Didn't see him gesture as much before as he did this game, he will surely be a somewhat different player in 2...

    8 - Pedri

True that it is not about physicality with Pedri, but there are different "timing" ways to get past defenders or succeed with other stuff too... I think he has a very nice feel for where his opponents are and when and where he can get past them, but I do not really like his decisions and...

EL Round 16: Galatasaray - Barcelona 1-2 agg.

On the bench presumably... That CB pairing worked great last game, the MC pairing is a big question for me and I want Gavi on the pitch but other than that I am pretty satisfied. Unfortunately no Alves available here so.

I believe in Atletico de Madrid!

Hm a nice looking chart from trollfootball.me, but without explanations of anything, would be nice with a link together with the pic!

    Mavericky Puig

Certainly no need for Kessie. Maybe Alba will break through soon enough, or Torre, or someone else. Yes everyone knows Puig played because the game was settled. He impressed. It is great that games are finally settled sometimes, they rarely were the last few years.

    Mavericky Puig

Yeah probably. The midfield did not function well for the two games prior to Sunday, but for a few games before that and also on sunday it did function very well. Gavi, Pedri, Frenkie and even Nico are good players with distinct qualities that I think can function very well in a very good team...

    Memphis Depay

Let us see if money will be a huge problem or not this summer. I don't think it will, and if it will I don't think 20m in transfer fees will be part of the problem.

    Mavericky Puig

I don't know, I sometimes read twitter and he is polarizing there as well, some love him and others seem to be disgusted by him. I really don't want to go into the psyche of these people feeling anger because Puig was happy to score and thanked those around him, for example.

    Memphis Depay

I think Barcelona can afford Raphinha if they want to whether they get 20m or Moura for Depay, but sure. If Moura isn't deemed to be useful, they shouldn't trade him in of course, but the most important thing is to get rid of Depay, and an exchange might help.

    Memphis Depay

I don't care about the money, I don't think it is very useful. But if a switch is made, the player should be useful of course, and there are a couple of players in Tottenham who could be. All the talk about Depay "scoring 10 goals DESPITE being injured", he is the attacker with most minutes BY...

    Memphis Depay

He did a few nice things yesterday actually. But he should leave as soon as possible. Maybe Moura could be a good switch if Kulusevski gets the spot there and Dembele/Traore isn't kept.

    Mavericky Puig

Silly post I sense nervousness in some of these posters, who are only able to produce these "ironic" distancing "funny" posts. Chances are, with more playing time Puig will show he is indeed great. Here is a direct comparison with Pedri this season. Puig is generally much more involved, much...

    Mavericky Puig

He played 1/4 the minutes of world class midfielder Pedri yesterday. In those minutes he played as many passes into the final third, as many passes into the box, and twice as many progressive passes as Pedri. He played half the total amount of overall passes, so double the passes per minute...

    Adama Traore

He isnt one to combine. He runs past a defender and makes a cross that is hit/miss. He is really very predictable and it is on the attackers to make good runs on these predictable crosses. If he started to fail his dribbles a lot, try to play a game he can't play, or make really extremely...

    7 - Ferran Torres

My MOTM, his movement really helped the team before the goals, and then he scored himself and won the game for the team. Could've scored even more, I think he'll start to do just that soon enough, he fits well into the system and most of his misses seem to be confidence related. Very nice...

    Mavericky Puig

Still 1st in pass accuracy of Barca team this season I reckon, with some margin.

    Xavi Hernández

A good game. Good starting eleven set up well, good connections and combinations on the pitch, good subs when the game was decided, finally letting some players rest and other players get some minutes. This was back into form again, maybe it was two off games instead of a broken trend. Napoli...

    Mavericky Puig

Will be interesting to see the stats from this game tomorrow, did he really turn it over as much as some say? I love watching his movements, his intentions and his connection to the other players, it was a few very nice combinations after he came on. A very good game by Barcelona turned even...

    Xavi Hernández

Barcelona are back on a good trend today. Did you see the last two games? Did you see my posts shilling for his return one year ago? (I wanted him back much earlier than that of course, but was not on this forum then)
