    1 - Marc-Andre ter Ansplant

Not this game though! He had one brilliant save and at least one very good one where he held on to the free shot taken from an angle. He looked solid overall, but I don't like that he didn't dare to play the ball out from the back in the end of the game.

    Sergio Agüero

Hm maybe Collado could be registered?? Strange if he couldn't, but Barcelona could do another "Braithwaite signing"

    Xavi Hernández

Of course the injuries are a bit bad at the moment, and under a competent manager like Xavi, we can expect the performances and results to improve both with just some more time, and with more healthy players coming back! Stegen, Garcia, Alba, Busquets, Gavi, Pedri, Frenkie, Puig are GREAT...

    Xavi Hernández

Your first sentence I agree with, but what problems he will have remains to be seen. I think the squad is pretty great, and I believe the results will be great when Xavi gets some more time to work.

    Sergio Busquets

Missed it live, but this was the only thing to do then. A Busquets injury would be terrible for this team. Yeah I agree he was MOTM, many great passes today.

    Sergio Busquets

Does he tuck his shirt? Never bothered checking, but it might be important! If he was injured, then there is nothing to do. I was also waiting to watch Puig, so it was an OK sub to make if Busquets needed out. But I'd prefer Frenkie to go, the way the game was tbh.

    8 - Pedri

They do! It was very suspicious when he was injured and had to be subbed off that one game, and then played the next game anyways! It is the same leg right?

    Daniel Alves

He used to say he never got tired whilst playing football, only if it was with his dog in the garden!

La Liga | Round 13: FC Barcelona - Espanyol 1-0

Calling Frenkie f9 right now! I hope Depay is used as a winger, and Gavi should probably not be. Abde didn't look like a professional footballer the minutes he got before. It would be interesting to see Puig from the start. Mingueza shouldn't play RB, I guess Roberto is the only alternative...

    8 - Pedri

On top of the injury risk, this is also the one final time when these players are formable. Messi was slowly rotated with Giuly, despite playing better than him every single time. Ronaldo was sitting on the bench when Kleberson, Fletcher (also young though) or Butt played... I think they both...

    Xavi Hernández

Xavi decides when he leaves, just as he comes when he decides to :) This season at this moment is considered lost. Xavi should build for the future, with one of the most important thing being instilling the feeling of being winners, going into every game with the win being a necessity and...

    Mavericky Puig

I was taught to tuck the shirt, and I think it is the right thing to do. Maybe this guy needs to tattoo a lion on his back, and then some people here will think he is suddenly very cool and alpha...

La Liga | Round 13: FC Barcelona - Espanyol 1-0

I really don't understand your position of wanting to keep the cowboy, but I admire your support for the team under Xavi! I believe in a massive improvement already tomorrow, but I think in a month we can say more about Xavis effect. It is wonderful to see how he handles himself, a true...

    Joan Laporta

I believe he misjudged the leagues position, that he thought they would understand that it would be a disaster for both Barcelona and the league if Messi went. He shouldn't have signed Depay, Aguero and even Garcia if he understood Tebas position, and he should be much quicker and more forceful...

    Joan Laporta

Sure sure. But the effect of most of his decisions are going to be seen long term. Messi needed to go sometime, Laporta probably made a bad call there, but in the end it could turn out good. Griezmann just needed to go ASAP. He at least took responsibilty for sacking Koeman too late - when did...

    Frenkie de Jong

These words are of course said for a reason, and I believe that reason is to motivate Frenkie. The way I read these words is that Frenkie has a limited time to prove himself really useful - he needs to be crucial and score goals etc and if he is not, then maybe he should go elsewhere. I think...

    Joan Laporta

And you don't have to be a genius to understand that a president should be judged on a larger timeframe than half a year. Give him a year or two from here, and see the situation then! I am very positive right now - the previous boards were really heading towards the ground.

    8 - Pedri

Thing is, he probably felt pretty OK, and he is so young and probably never had any injuries of that type before. It's impossible for him to know. It is 100% on the staff and 0% on Pedri I saw you write in another thread that Koeman is "alpha". I disagree very much, he is a beta who is very...

    8 - Pedri

No, a player plays. It is unprofessional and wrong for a player himself to ask to be rested, and on top of that, having that thought goes a bit against the mentality needed to be a succesful player. It is the responsibility of the club to stop a player from playing.

    8 - Pedri

Nico was available, Ilaix, Puig, and Pjanic too. The squad was absolutely large enough to let Pedri rest 30-60mins a bit more often.
