Vidal has scored tons of goals in his career, in Juve he was the top goal scorer one season.

Sounds reasonable, but when Vidal arrived at Juve from Leverkusen they hadnt won the league in a while and were just coming up from Serie B. Their big current winning streak started with Vidal, he was their best player for a couple of years in a row.

It does sound strange. Maybe he wasnt happy with what he was making and the club agreed to a raise and asked him for another year? He’s a Superhuman physycally, I think he’ll be fine at 35. And definitely adds something to the midfield that the others dont.

Vidal has played as LB, CD, líbero, RM, CM and AM. I don’t see him as RB, but he’d probably be OK. I prefer him in midfield though, he’s too good to just defend at the back.
