    Real Madrid (old thread)

to all Madridistas on this forum: just wanted to point out that there is a lenghty interview with Raul from Sid Lowe in todays Guardian

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Funny that you held this team in so high regards. I love this team to death, but we have not imposed ourselves enough to be considered in this line. One CL trophy (maybe two, if you count 2006, but that was an other team). For me all this talk of the the best team now is just something made up...

So it may be. This year Jose is the winner, but with some additions to our squad we will be competitive again next year.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

I think you give Jose too much credit in this. It is not that every time when our path cross he beats us. At the end he is only on the sideline, and everything is decided on the pitch. We lost the momentum and now you are up. We have to regroup and improve our squad to strike back next year.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Yeah, but we did go out against a defensive team last year, and will highly go out this year too. So if even we with our talented squad can not impose a offenisve game anymore, what can the small teams aspire too?

    Real Madrid (old thread)

yeah, but that is the trend. The more defensive, the more successful, and so more and more teams will follow this path. It is not by chance, that many regard this WC as the most boring one due to the defensive attitude of 90% of all teams.

    Sergio Busquets

We could do with de Jong if we need some advice regarding Karate or leg-breaking.
  8. Xavi_78

    Giuseppe Rossi

If true, he would be a long term prospect to replace El Guaje and in the meantime they could finally rotate and rest.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Seems you are a gentlemen, gifting out compliments. I think after yesterday it is neither a fact nor a debate anymore that we are the better team,
  10. Xavi_78

    Giuseppe Rossi

But it would mean that our transfer kitty would be empty. They say the deal would be worth 30 Mio. I think after the Ibra-desaster, the club will never ever try again with a big, immobile target man.

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Yeah, and it the end Holland were without a title and without reputation. This "a better team" is just a lame excuse, yesterday it became glaring obvious that we are surly not. So I suggest you leave this "better team" drivel as we both know that this is not true. But the problem ist that...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

But if this is the end, then who should still care to watch. You could just say I will look up the score and not waste my time with 90 minutes of predictable and boring drivel. It it is just about winning why care actually about watching the game?
  13. Xavi_78

    Real Madrid (old thread)

For me the problem with Mou and the tactics of Real Madrid is the following: where will it leave the game at the end? What is it when even the big teams only play defensive, sit deep and wait to counter-attack and are not willing to take any risk anymore. Will we end up with two teames facing...

    Jose Mourinho

Sorry, but this is getting an old excuse: "the best offensive team in the world", yesterday it was very obvious that we are far from it. So stop this lame excuses. He just has no intention to offer attractive football. This has nothing to do with us.
  15. Xavi_78

    Gerard Piqué

I really liked his attitude tonight, fighting till the end, seems the signs are there that we have finally found the heir th Puyols throne and at some point he will surely wear the armband.

    14 - Javier Mascherano

I hope Smasch plays in the CdR, than he can give Pepe some of his own medicine.

    Jose Mourinho

http://www.marca.com/2011/04/18/futbol/equipos/real_madrid/1303130004.html And Sid Lowe is using some quotes at the end of his column: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/apr/18/real-madrid-critics-mourinho I like the part about the lion and the mouse best, Augh.
  18. Xavi_78

    Jose Mourinho

Anybody seen the quotes from di Stefano? Seems he is not the biggest fan of Mou tactics and playing style!
  19. Xavi_78

    5 - Carles Puyol

Ah, I nearly fell over when he was leading our team out; I just recognized how much I missed these flying curls. I am confident that he will be alright for the next games, It is unbelievable how much better looked Pique with Puyi next to him, just his sheer presence was a difference.

    World's best midfielder

Sorry but this is ridiculous. We had two games this year where we could compare Özil to XavIniesta: the semifinal of the WC and the classico. And in both matches he was nowhere to be seen. Better than XavIniesta even I, and I am a german myself, must they: what dope did you smoke? Özil is a nice...
