CL Quarter Final: Barca - PSG 1-4

Nothing about him except his pace impressed me. Also scoffed a huge chance in the first tie due to poor technique. Be a poor fit here.

    4 - Ronald Araújo

It's also Araujo himself falling over after the contact that really sells it. Made it seem like he barged into him with no regard for anything. Would've looked a different situation if he'd stayed on his feet himself. Wasn't that much contact, plus the uncertainty of whether Barcola had gotten...

    4 - Ronald Araújo

Not everyday you see a triple fuck-up in one game deciding sequence. 1. Bad pass. 2. No awareness to drop back and cover Barcola immediately after. 3. The actual foul

CL Quarter Final: Barca - PSG 1-4

Need to push them more than the first game. Take the midfield, crowd them out, make them play in the margins. First game we fortified low and let them waltz into the danger zone. Got a bit lucky they didn't break through more than they did. Can't take those chances tonight.

    Frenkie de Jong

Still need to be able to count on all your midfielders to grab a marker. Bit more focus is clearly needed from Frenkie.

    Ousmane Dembélé

He had repeated hamstring tears. Disciplined rehab and continuous strengthening would have taken care of them. Probably learned his lesson after the fifth time or how many it was. His famously terrible diet and sleep regiment probably didn't help either.

    8 - Pedri

Means when you're up against a disciplined side that closes you down, blocks off lanes, pressures you on the ball. If you haven't noticed Pedri struggles to get a foothold in those types of games, you haven't been watching.

    8 - Pedri

It doesn't surprise me that he does great things when he has time and space. The criticism is that he struggles when the game is compact, stressful, uncomfortable. And if we're being honest, it was mostly that one thing he did followed by some nice and sensible, but not really impressive...

    Xavi Hernández

We're a funny side atm. Don't really have a clear winning way compared to a team like Paris. But we have grit and when we do find each other, there are sparks.

CL Quarter Final: PSG - Barca 2-3

Honestly have no clue about this one. I can see us getting a narrow win but I can also see us getting whooped.

    8 - Pedri

Yoann Gourcuff is a more apt comparison than Iniesta at the moment. Interesting, highly watchable player who shines in his own little niche but not really great (+ injury prone.) Needs to transcend that niche if he wants to be mentioned in the same breath as Iniesta.

    Guille Fernández

Youngest player to debut for the B team, beating Lamine by 11 days.

La Liga Round 29: Barca - Las Palmas 1-0

Pretty sure Roque is a dud.

    Barca Transfers and Rumors

Reports of Deco looking at Khephren Thuram (son of Lilian) for the DM spot. Anyone get a good look at him?
  15. BusiTheKing

    8 - Pedri

Iniesta could play pass and move. Pedri can't. More like pass and take a break with him. Something tells me this won't change. Boy simply looks gassed after each action. Has to be an AM, then. But he can't really do that either. Too shy, lacks aggression and initiative. Lacks that spring in his...

    Nico Williams

Would say yes to Mitoma, Kvara, Leao or Luis Diaz for a reasonable price. Son would be nice if we could somehow lure him. Otherwise focus on DM and wait til an obvious candidate appears.

    Nico Williams

Wouldn't say Nico is a great dribbler. He's got speed and an eye for the incisive move but he isn't particularly creative or slick.

    Nico Williams

He might be slightly better than someone like Ferran on the overall but he'll never be at the level we should strive for in the long term. 50m seems a lot for a slight (not even guaranteed) improvement.

    11 - Raphinha

I'm overall positive about him but pretty disappointed with the number of long range crackers he's scored. One of the most appealing aspects of his game before he came. Scored one against Real in his first pre-season and had me buzzing. But since then basically nothing.

Vitor Roque (loaned to Real Betis)

You see him receive the ball and he just seems extremely limited and primitive in what he can do. You could compare with Suarez but although Suarez looked sort of barbaric and clumsy, his actions were high level, often low key genius. This is not the same type of player.
