La Liga | Round 20: Elche - FC Barcelona 0-2

Feel he's got a good chance of claiming that goal.

That half was a hard watch. Not expecting anything different in the second either. Sigh!

Spanish Super Cup Final: FC Barcelona - Athletic Bilbao 2-3

It was an utterly shocking challenge, watched him all the way and then just launched himself into FDJ. Red card everyday of the week.

    Lionel Messi - v7

I noticed that, albeit very briefly, on one of his lonely walk backs to get onside following an attack; he looked to limp a couple of steps, then back to normal walking. Didn't really think too much of it tbqh, although I did notice the very brief change in body language.

    Lionel Messi - v7

    utterly correct.

    Frenkie de Jong

Good to see him making runs into the box to receive. Making defenders unsure.

    Lionel Messi - v7

Silly wee blot at the end there but otherwise looked more relaxed generally, not trying to force shots as much. Athletic helped of course with a slightly higher line, and of course their lines weren't tight so Barca were frequently able to get in between. More movement from Messi of course...

    Sergio Busquets

No. Usual names boring the shit out of anybody that dares to read.

    Martin Braithwaite

Did his bit; created space, and scored. A successful night all in all.

La Liga | Round 15: Valladolid - FC Barcelona 0-3

Comfortable win. Good performances from Pjanic, Messi, Pedri and ter Stegen. Team showing progress heading into the break.

    Philippe Coutinho

 Still, a positive at the end of the day.

    Lionel Messi - v7

This playing with 10 men narrative has to stop, it's only relevant when Barca are playing a truly top team where literally everybody needs to hold their shape and contribute at both ends of the pitch. Barcelona had 73% possession yesterday. But Messi didn't hare around the pitch kickig fuck out...

    Lionel Messi - v7

Coutinho had 2/3 shots I don't think any hit the target/were even on target. I recall he made one, yes ONE run diagonally away in behind and recycled it back via Braithwaite who was also wide but it was all done at near walking pace. Just for a few seconds there the left area opened up...

    Lionel Messi - v7

tl;dr bollocks no doubt. Coutinho obviously gt a rocket up his arse at HT as he was useless up to that point. Good to see him up his game somewhat second half but really it wasn't a whole lot better, unfortunately.

    perfect parody.

La Liga | Round 14: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF 2-2

 Such a poor team/squad. Going forward realistically there isn't much to keep/rely on. been obvious for years that the quity of the squad was dropping rapid. Ohh well!!

    Lionel Messi - v7

The FKs are baffling; how you can go from the best in the world to the worst in such a short time span. They're lacking power and whip, just nothing really. Taking far too many from central positions - keepers are just standing in the middle and waiting to hoover them up if they even make it...
