iniesta is having the worst season of his career. If anything he's getting worse.
We could be in big trouble next year if we lose Xavi and none of the young players are ready to step up to the plate.
Source?
13km a game is exceptional for any player regardless of position. I'm skeptical. It would mean he on average covers a full km more than the hardest working player in the premier league...
The only player that needs resting is Iniesta, who looked tired in the PSG game.
The team sheet you suggested is far too weak to start against Valencia.
We can lose 2-0 at home against PSG and still go through, we have to beat Valencia.
Bravo
Alves Pique Mathieu Alba
Busquets
Rakitic/Rafinha...
Given how much Real Madrid payed for bale, and how much better Suarez is, I don't think we really paid too much. He is everything the club has needed over the last few years.
I can't agree more.
If we lost 3-1 to Porto people would be screaming for the managers head, saying that half the team needs to be sold in the summer, that all our best players are past it and need to be gradually retired over the next season, and that we need to completely reinvent our style of...
I don't have a problem with bringing on Xavi to give the midfield more control of the game, but taking off your best attacking winger to do so it stupid. It meant we had no width or threat going forwards. Especially when Iniesta and Rakitic are on the pitch looking more useless than normal...
I kind of feel it harsh the criticism lucho is getting.
Since the loss to sociedad has been brilliant and got us through some of the most difficult games of the season. He made one bad sub decision and everyone is saying that is the reason we lost. They are ignoring the fact that our attacking...
Who do you think we should start ahead of them?
Xavi and Rafinha may be our best option. Out of our midfielders Xavi has been the best in recent games, which shows how poor the others have been considering he is about to retire.
Don't blame anyone except the manager. Players make mistakes, you expect that.
What you don't expect is your manager to take off your best attacking player and bring on Xavi when iniesta is on the pitch completely non-existent.
I hate Sevilla, play hack football and get away with it.
They...
You have to bare in mind that the people on this forum aren't really representative of all barca fans. I'm fairly certain the fans at the game weren't upset criticising suarez for his poor passing after the game. He is the forward outlet that we needed. I always thought getting a big CF would be...
Not surprised to see the pessimism on here, seems like a tradition on this forum now.
We played poorly and still got three points after an international break in a tough away game. That's how you win titles. Obviously the team will be completely different for the PSG game.
I don't think it's fair to judge Suarez's passing ability by comparing pass completion percentages. He is our CF, receives the ball in less space, and generally will be attempting much more decisive passes the majority of the time.
I think mascherano is defensively much better than busquets, but obviously offers less in terms of keeping the ball and dictating the midfield. You also have to bare in mind that we were 1 up when busquets came up and he also entered with Xavi. I'd like to see rafinha step up to the plate when...
For keeping a game under control I doubt there is a better midfield combination than the three you mentioned, the problem is I think we would be a bit toothless going forwards. Let's not forget that if Neymar didn't play so poorly we could have been 2 up before real scored and complete knocked...
Yeah I think the players got caught up in the moment, Enrique was going nuts on the sideline. It was only until the last 5 minutes that we started to slow the ball down and force real to press for it, which effectively ended the game.
I'm surprised at the amount of hatred directed at the...
Yes we could have been more clinical in front of goal, but Joe Hart also had his best game of the season. If he hadn't played so well then it would have been a complete embarrassment for man city, at least 4 or 5.
The only one that matters on the list is gerd mullers record, the rest above that are for inconsequential teams.
And messi could still top it anyway, at his current rate it would take less than 4 seasons, if he slows down 5 or 6.
Yeah I can't really understand this.
Why risk it at 5-0?
Then again even if it was in the Clasico I don't think it would make much sense. There is more chance of Bravo saving a shot from that angle than saving a CR7 penalty.
