i totally agree to all your last posts but to answer for tata: HE had to find a way to rest and protect xavi as he is 34 now. he knew the team would suffer but qudogan is still in dortmund and veratti in psg. maybe song can do the job in easy games but surely he is not good enough for top teams...

not only tata. tito and pep never used cesc or iniesta (specially in big games) in xavi's role ,too. there is no replacement for xavi in the squad despite he is 34. although i kinda liked song in that role today...not exactly xavi but he was ok imo.

you are right but he cant fullfill anyones role but messi's and maybe iniesta's who are 26 and 29 now. im not sure but maybe (just maybe) martinez or gudoghan whould be much smarter choice as the budget was (and still is) limited.
