Things I'd like to happen:
- Liverpool winning the Premier League the first year after Gerrard's departure
- Arsenal losing out on 4th place on the last day
- Spurs finishing ahead of Arsenal the first time since the Wenger era
- Southampton getting CL qualification after once again selling...
Why?
I rate Pirlo during Ancelotti's Milan era a lot more than the Pirlo that was hyped by British media since his performance plus Panenka penalty against England in the Euros. And as silly as it sounds, his beard gave him a strange cult following as well. Feels as if the average football...
I rate Turan but it would be a disastrous signing. We'd basically pay 40M for a 29 year old player whose contract runs out in 2017 but is essentially a 2016 signing. Additionally there's no resale value which means he'll probably be shipped out for 3M or so in a few years.
Yeah, no real holding midfielder. Even with the Milner signing the best midfield trio in my eyes would be Can, Henderson and Coutinho/Firmino.
Also not sure why Benteke isn't rated. He and Sturridge, if fit, would make a great duo upfront.
Yep, France's team in 2006 was honestly not that good (then again look at Portugal and Germany who also weren't that impressive), but other than that I believe his points were spot on.
It's really much about myths and his swansong in the World Cup final against Italy and Materazzi. Even heard...
It's not really that strong when you have to play Ramsey on the wings due to lack of alternatives. Even with Cech they need a striker, a central midfielder and another winger to properly challenge.
Considering a lot of Arsenal fans right now expect them to challenge for the title (since the...
Yep, Firmino is easily as good as Sterling. He simply doesn't have the reputation yet. It's a good transfer for both Hoffenheim and Liverpool for sure. Roberto is a player who knows how to score - something Liverpool lacked last season. Not sure where he'll play though.
Although tbh Firmino...
Yaya looked good whenever he was playing at CB for us. The CL final in Rome comes to mind. Considering Mascherano was converted to a permanent CB due to lack of alternatives, maybe Toure would've gone the same path had he stayed with us.
lel. I'd rather pay the rumored 100M + 12M net for Pogba than buy Ramsey tbh. Another injury prone, overrated Arsenal player who's had one good season but nothing more. At least his reputation doesn't come from one good match 5 years ago like his buddy Wilshere, but that's it.
There are...
It's even more sad that Hoffenheim are unlikely to get more than 30M for him, considering English teams like to overspend. Firmino is easily worth 40M or more...
