Sorely needed and for good reasons. His overall movement and initiative in generating forward play is vital in these games.

Several times mid attack he had to play a simple ball and just mishit or was caught out of balance. On that one good chance he also appeared out of balance. All our technical ability is thrown out the window when we're forced to play fatigued like yesterday.

But Pedri was clearly also most active of the two in getting the ball to attackers. Or would you dispute that?
