Villa was bullied a lot yesterday and actually before messing up Pedro along with Iniesta looked best players of Spain.

Outshined Villa, seriosly was way more effecient than him, but his last moment on the pitch f**ked it up, could have been even worse, lucky him. Should be a starter anyway.

But Spain played brilliantly in the midfield and Ozil couldn't do much about that, kinda ghost of himself comparing to his prev. matches. Though he was one of few positive germans yesterday. Ozil all the way to Barca!

Very true and as I watched couple matches of Inter this year barely every goal came from his touch. Imo Sneijder should win Golden Ball.

It is too bad he left only after one season in which he barely played, but it is right move by Barca by letting this man say farewell to team as he was clearly not suitable for us. He could do better in Italy with his stats, but what do I care.

That is the point, ridiculous that people think only attacking minded footballers should win the award, but imo Gigi should have won in '06.

But summing up WC weighs things alot, it is not like only WC includes in this award. If a player had decent season and led his team to the international glory he will/should get the award. In my opinion it is right, but luck factor in such competitions plays a lot.

You must be joking? Messi wasn't like disaster, far away from Rooney, Di Maria, Torres and other current WC flops. He had two rly good games where he was just unlucky to score. Of course, he didn't look half Barca's mEssi when he is on his day with us, but you must be really overtaking this...

WC is all the way over Euro. Messi had decent WC, but lacked very important thing - goals. If Sneijder, Villa, etc. wins WC, in my opinion they should get Golden Ball. WC -> any other tournaments. Remember Italy, GiGi and Cannavaro? They defo wouldn't be there if not WC.

Torres had some good moves beating couple defenders, but he rly lacked what attacking forward should do - shots.

Now Messi will hardly be the player of the year...
