    Daniel Alves

That's not the point. Barça payed about 40 M € (all incl.) for Alves as transfer fee (and complicated bonuses for Sevilla), which results to about 10 M for amortisation every year of the contract, besides the salary! The renewal of the contract will be cheaper for Barça as the actual contract...

    Daniel Alves

I wonder why salary is such an issue. For a club, expenses are expenses, may they be called salary or what ever, for example amortisation. To replace Alves the club has to spend not only the salary of the future player but also the transfer fee (with annual amortisation). Thats easily an other...

    Daniel Alves

Barça still has one and a half year time to renegociate Dani's contract. Just stop it for the moment.

Does Dani Alves deserve the raise?

everybody deserves 20 million. The only question is who is capable and willing to pay it....

    Daniel Alves

Alves is not a player you can replace. You have to change many things without Alves. But that's not a reason to keep him at any cost.

Barca and Real transfer balance 2000-2010

Both, Madrid and Barça, had too much money to spend. So they spent it with no regard to oeconomic sense. Buying expensive players, giving them a huge salary, then let them go for free after a year or two, just to buy another player the same way....

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Real's hompage: ... The Whites continued looking to cut into the lead, and on 38’ Cristiano was fouled inside the box by Valdes as the two battled for a ball, but the referee failed to award the spot kick. ... but ten minutes in Villa made it 3-0 in a clear offside position. ...but everything...

    Daniel Alves

Alves knows exactly, that Barça is the best club for him. But now he deals for his last contract as a professional player. All depend on how much City (or another club) is willing to pay for him.

    1 - Victor Valdes

To compare this action with the Schumacher-Batiston-incident is nonsense. VV played the ball and had no intention to hit the opposite player, who was unfortunatly pushed by Puyol.

first substituted in the U21 international... Doesn'd smell as if he had a good game.

    Bojan Krkic

Bojan was a prodigy, but then stopped further improvement. Perhaps he'll be a late bloomer once...
