    17th minute chant

Well, that would make sense. Thank you, good sir. :-)

    17th minute chant

Hey, here's a little question: What are the Catalans chanting every time we reach the 17th minute on Camp Nou? I know why they are chanting and what they are chanting for, but exactly what is it that they are chanting?

This lad is crazy. Crazy, I am telling you!

    Andreu Fontas

Pep! We need more Fontàs in La Liga! Damn. Is it necessary for me to say that I cannot wait until he is finally to promoted? He will, alongside Thiago, be a starte within 4 years. Believe me. Some Icelandic fortune teller once told me - well that was not exactly what she said, but it was the way...

    Andreu Fontas

What an assist yesterday! Well, alright - it certainly wasn't top class defending, but it was still a classy pass. Well done. Almost a Márquez-like pass. Mark my words - Fontàs will conquer the world one day!

    They said what??...The Quotes thread

Perhaps Pep just believes that Bojan is more reliable, both as a person and as a footballer, than he was when Pep arrived. I do not doubt that Bojan has grown since, again both as a person and as footballer.

Ah, alright. I would be lying if I said that I know a lot about Bulgarian football, but one I know is that they have a stronger league than Denmark, with teams like Levski, CSKA Sofia, Litex and Lokomotiv. He may be an average player, but in Randers FC he was a real profile! ;-)

Oh, I remember Todor. I have seen many Randers games, but I do not really support them in any way. I just generally watch a lot of football. But Todor is in my opinion one of the absolute best players to have played in Randers FC. He was mostly used as a central midfielder. I believe that he is...

    1 - Victor Valdes

I will bet you 10.000 Yen, that Valdés had no bad intentions going into that challenge. That would be very unlike Valdés.

Nah, not really. I have spent much time in Spain and in Barcelona, so I do not really care that much about the Danish Superliga. The only team which I really can relate to is Aarhus GF, as I lived in Aarhus when I was a small boy, and went to many of their matches with my father and grandfather. :-)

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Always sad when relatively young players are forced into an early retirement. Hopefully he'll be able to live a happy life, although I can understand that I won't be easy to recover fully after what he's been through. And getting a promising career crushed like that must be really hard. Good...

    FC Barcelona statistics

Nice one, gingerless. Very interesting that Messi actually beat Cristiano Ronaldo in every category. May I ask where you got these statistics? Just curious. :)

    Pedro Rodriguez

Agreed - Pedro should have been substituted much earlier!

    1 - Victor Valdes

Actually, it was N'Doye who tried to push away Puyol, but because of Carles' immense strength it ended up being N'Doye who changed his direction, and as it turned out his new direction was directly into the path of an out-rushing Victor Valdés:

    14 - Javier Mascherano

Well, alright - maybe not a back-up player, but then a rotation player. ;)

    Xavi Hernández

By the way, Xavi only needs to play another 11 matches, until he is the player with the most official appearances, beating Migueli at 549 matches. It's going to be legendary!

    14 - Javier Mascherano

With players like Mascherano and Busquets, people just always have to remember that they will not make a 40 meter pin-point pass across the pitch and make assists. Being a good passer does not necessarily mean that you have to make assists and great passes - it might as well mean that you choose...

    14 - Javier Mascherano

You're not the only one. I was very skeptic about his passing, his first touches and his 'dribbling', but so far he's been doing great. Especially in the match against FC København, where almost did not make any unsuccessful passes, and many of them were actually forward passes: To have...

    Your first Barça final

I'm not very old (18), but I started following Barca 7 years ago, so the first final for me was the Champions League final in Paris in 2006. But what a game!

    Daniel Alves

I agree that Alves is the best by far, but I wouldn't mention Ashley Cole before Maicon! :p ;)
