Loan him to a decent club for a year or two if he wants playing time. Valencia, Celta Vigo to think of few who would like a good goalkeeper.

Was reading this article from The Guardian.

http://www.theguardian.com/football...ransfer-manchester-city-marc-andre-ter-stegen

and I noticed this.

:VdB:

20 Million? yeah these guys who write these things aren't trying anymore.

20M £ is around 25M Euros.

We bought him for 12M Euros (9,7M £).
If someone is offering 20M £, that is around 24-25M Euros today.
So, twice as much as what we paid 24 Months ago.

While the highest all-time transfer fees for Gks are:
1. Buffon 52,9M Euros in 2001'
2. Neuer 28,0M Euros in 2011'
3. Toldo 26,5M in 2001'
4. De Gea 25,0M in 2011'
5. Frey 21,0 in 2003'

Top transfers in the last 10 years:
1. Neuer 28,0M Euros in 2011'
2. De Gea 25,0M in 2011'
3. Oblak 16,0 in 2015'
4. Czech 14,0 in 2015'
5. Lloris 12,6 in 2012'
6. Forster 12,5 in 2014'
7. Handanovic 12,0 in 2013'
8. Bravo 12,0 in 2014'
9. Ter Stegen 12,0 in 2014'

Some will reply now: but the market is inflated lately due to English clubs, also much crappier players are sold for 40-50 Millions, and how Mats is one of the best Gks in the world.

Well, true, but at the end of the day:
1. we paid for him 12M only 2 years ago
2. with 25M Euros, he would be the 4th highest Gk's transfer in football's history
3. and with 25M Euros fee, he would be the 2nd highest GK's fee paid in the last 10 years (only behind Neuer and tied with De Gea)

The point of my post is NOT that we should sell him or anything.
The point IS that, theoretically, if we would have a fight between Mats and the board or if for some reason the board decides to sell him this summer, then 25M fee wouldn't be THAT strange or that low.

If he would be sold, his price would be much closer to 25Millions, or possibly 30, than to numbers like 40-50 Millions.
Nobody pays that much for Gks, except probably for Curtois, Neuer and De Gea.
But even De Gea's last summer's (failed) transfer to Real was around 35M Euros.

MAts should stay and he should be asked to play a few La Liga games as well. Bravo did not perform well against Real Madrid, and Di Maria's goal against Chile was also preventable.

Best midfielder around
Bravo is good, but not spectacular. I could name 10-15 GK's I would pick over him. Now, ter Stegen might not be spectacular yet, but he got the potential to be that and more.

LOL 10-15 wow no fuckin way. Bravo is boss and fits us like a glove. He was on fire for Chile as well before they lost to Argentina.

I'm glad at this point in the season Mats is our CL keeper because Bravo is starting to leak goals.

MAtS had his weak moments, too. I like both, but on a long term i'd prefer ter Stegen. He's younger and can still progress. Selling him will mean that we have to find a new goalkeeper in two or three years unless we keep Bravo until he's 50 and make the same mistake that they once did with Pinto (no offense). And no big club will take MAtS on loan.
Pep can get Bravo, we face Man City in the CL final and beat them by far. It's as easy as that. :D (if Man City ever reaches a CL final...)
