Its not the goalie's job to stop whipped in crosses at the near post. That was on Alonso for letting his man go and who ever was on the front post to intercept. The other goal was on a break away...

He folded as expected, nothing to see. Neuer is the real deal, he is the pound shop version.

First goal of Bayern will be used as teaching material by trainers around the world for claiming crosses on set pieces. As an example of what not to do.

Neuer could have given away multiple goals with his passing and never really had a top save either due to the finishing.

MATS still had a good start to season.

Going to play devil's advocate. Neuer did worse. Latter lucky as hell those two misplaced passes didn't lead to goals conceded.

Made a great lunging save only to concede cheaply on the resulting corner. Needs to be much more decisive in commanding his area. Either commit 100% to getting the ball or get in a good position to make the stop.

He should have made a play for the corner kick but that corner kick was excellent most keepers wouldn't have gotten to it.

We can't be only ones to notice he's a coward.

Did I say he's a coward? Yeah. Needs to be slapped and benched but for who. Our backup goalie couldn't play for Kazahstani club.

The flapping certainly made it look worse. But you see a ton of goals conceeded this way. Very hard for a goalkeeper to get to the front of the post to make a claim in that scenario, but not impossible.

He's had a decent start to this season still so hope he keeps it up, and hopefully we also see him making a big save in a big game like this again.....one day.

I think he looked confident and focused in his short and long passes which is a good sign. He definitely had games where that wasn't the case.

His passing was definitely better for sure. Last season he was trying his best to give the ball to a Bayern player every single time.
