10 - Ansu Fati

Fati now can't even compete against who, 18 years old Gavi for a forward position lol. Even Ferret is above him. Both with Barca and Spain.

Pedro is ultimate team player. Passing, movement off ball, shooting, he has all.

Fati aside from his first time finishing (which doesn't work now), he has nothing to compare to Pedro.

Bbz wrote sometime ago about Fati's finishing and i think that is quite accurate.

Pedri was an elite cog. Sort of like a much upgraded version of Ivan Perisic. Managers love these types.

Fati so far is not an elite anything.

Fati would have had absolutely no chance of playing for Pep's team. His main rival for the spot was none other than peak Messi.

People underrate that front 3 of 2010-2011 aside from Messi. Villa is Spain's greatest striker and Pedro had an immense workrate, top class football IQ, and was usually clutch.

The club need to take emotion out of the decision here.

If he's training and playing like someone who isn't at the level this team aspires to be, and they have a team willing to take him off our hands for a reasonable amount they need to consider that very seriously.

Especially if they're able to get a replacement that's a clear upgrade.

With Ansu's meniscus injury he's not likely to have a long career at the top level anyway as that will get progressively worse throughout his 20s.

No doubt. Best recent correspondent of someone like Pedri and Villa is Liverpool's Mane.

A reasonable amount these days is a pretty high figure. You'd have to look at at least 45-50m just to even consider it.

Unless somehow things are really bad in trainings and such, and in this case, club could be justified to sell for less.

Fati pre-injury could be a great finisher and could move well in the box but he also had plenty of moments where he looked miles off it too. Plenty of young players burst through and look great but for whatever reason it just doesn't quite materialise.

Same happens in reverse, players age 21-23 seemingly spring out of nowhere and end up world beaters.

IMO they should start considering offers from 30m due to his salary and long contract.

We're talking about a player who might never reach his past level that doesn't have any particular outstanding quality apart from shooting/finishing. Even his movement nowadays doesn't look as smooth as previously, and he hardly works hard on the pitch barely pressing and tracking back.

But it depends on the information the club sits with. If the medical staff have their doubts and he's not performing well enough despite being healthy for so long then they have to do something about it.

Ok, I don't wanna sound too disrespectful but you don't get football from what you write.
I will save this post. After "Ten Haag is average" Serghei, you will become one day "Fati is not elite at anything" Serghei

As for vegitot and KL, no point in developing any argument against result-merchants who think that any player who won CL is ipso facto better than any player who hasn't

For 30m I'd keep him. That's nothing these days. Took a punt for a Braga dude in Trincao for more for example.

I mentioned specifically Fati's goals post-injury, last season, either in important moments (Dynamo, RM) or simply wonder goals like vs Celta
People lump both seasons as 'post-injury' Fati, whereas there are clear differences between them

Your take of Pep Barca vs Klopp Liverpool is 2nd worst in Barcaforum history after Jovic being better than Benzema... so...

Until Fati can produce a season like Pedro 2010/2011, he can tie Pedro's lace shoe.

Pedro 2010/2011: 22 goals, 13 assists, Liga champion, UCL champion (scored in Semi final vs Real and final vs Utd).

:lol::lol::lol:

Yeah, I understand less football than a guy who claims Klopp's Pool with hustle merchants in midfield would dominate Pep's Barca who had world class players (and like 4 GOAT tiers in their positions in Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Alves) in literally every position bar VV and Pedro (who was borderline worldclass)

Bojan was a higher rated prospect than Ansu and was looking very promising his first 1-2 years for the first team before it all fell apart. Ansu looked really good his first season before his injuries, but even then was no guarantee he would go on to have a better career than Pedro.

As others have mentioned it happens. Sometimes some players have a great start to their careers and amount to fuck all while other players hit off later in their careers.
