10 - Ansu Fati

That's naive. If he wants more playtime in a lesser side Barca will obviously push him to make financial concessions (as they should!). No point in getting him out while covering 90%+ of his salary.

Evidently, you don't get how these situations work
When a player has high salary no other team is willing to match, he has the cards to play the game.
The selling/loaning club will be forced to come to a compromise and pay a big part of his salary.

Ansu currently gets 13.5m gross annually.
There is still 7 m gross more or less to be paid to him until the summer, this season only.

No LL team outside Madrid and Pathetico can meet these numbers for a loan.
Even if they are interested in the player (Sevilla and Girona were/are), they were only interested under the condition that they pay a fraction of that money

I say no team pays more than 3m gross for him for half a season.
But even that might give some margin to Barca to move for Rashford on a similar deal, where we would pay only a fraction of his salary and the rest will be covered by his parent club

He wont even get 3m mate. Thats the point. No way Ansu leaves money on the table (as he should). Everyone knows hes done.
Pretty much... Also, it's not IF there's a point to loan him out while paying 90% of his wages - it's if there is anybody willing to pull the trigger paying even 10%. Ansu gave up 2 years ago, him moving to Brighton seemed to be just to get everybody of his back while cashing in.
Ansu got minutes start of the season, he barely moved his ass - he did everything through his body language to signal everybody to leave him tf alone. Like I said, when his contract runs up and somebody in US/SA is stupid enough to give him a new contract he'll take it and do exactly the same shit he's done to us at the start if the season - cash in and don't give af.

Brighton were willing to bet on him last season.
Many LL teams are now.

Ansu lives off his potential that he showed before his injury, and that will continue to be the case for tier 2 teams.

Question is to persuade the player to move there on loan, which as I already explained has nothing to do with the finances. He is getting his 13m gross per season either way

No LL team will make him essentially their top earner. Even 3m is a shit ton of money for most of them.

So we can get what? 500k maybe (even taht seems a stretch)? Hardly a worthy consideration. Should get him out anyway mind you. But forget about the club saving any meaningful money.

LL teams loaning Fati with his contract even if it's a 50/50 (like Atletico loan with Lenglet) is still a shot in the foot with FFP for any club. It's midseason and Fati is not the promising Brighton "he won't get injured again" thing.

That was LAST season, and how did that pan out? Than he came back and looked like he didn’t want to be on the pitch? There was some hope in the beginning of last season, that hope is all gone long time ago…

I did not say it's going to be 50/50. I said around 3m gross, minor part of his salary.
Teams like Betis Sevilla Villareal Girona give their top earners 5m gross

Sure, it means that they have to take a serious bet on him and make him top earner for 6 months.
But it's not out of their wage structure

No Betis, Sevilla or Villareal going to pay 3M to act as his psychotherapist. Does anybody in Villareal or Sevilla even make 3M? And you think they would pay that for Ansu who doesn't even give a fuck about playing the sport? They might have thought about if it was Gavi, Bernal or even Sharky - they give 0 fucks about Ansu even for 3M. Some of you need to get real...

Again: no one will take a serious bet on him. It's not that hard to understand.

Remember those days when we were desperately trying to offload Ansu Fati to get Memphis Depay. Memphis will change things around they said. Memphis is what we need on the left.

Remember those days when we were desperately trying to offload Ansu Fati to get Joao Felix. Joao Felix will change things around they said. Joao Felix is what we need on the left.

Remember those days when we were desperately trying to offload Ansu Fati to get Chiesa. Chiesa will change things around they said.
Chiesa is what we need down the left.

Remember those days when were desperately trying to offload Ansu Fati to get Rashford. Rashford will change things they said. Rashford is what we need down the left.

Girona is one of the very few that can afford Fati as damaged goods in LL, but he's no longer regarded as deserving the 5-6m salary (which is 50/50). Flick's recent honest comment might have added even more salt to this wound.

Betis and Sevilla are balancing their budgets, especially severe with Sevilla.

There are rumours of interest by Tottenham and West Ham. They surely can allow half of his contract, but what for, given Brighton performance?

Overall it seems doomed for Barca and great for Fati milking this great contract he signed back in 2021 until 2027. We will pay significant amount of his contract throughout wherever he goes.
