I've been saying this for some time now.

CR7 genuinely hasn't played in a bad side (in terms of quality and depth, not league standings) since 2005-2006 with united.

messi has played in some all time great sides (pep's barca, 14-15 MSN) but he's also played in some bang average (for a club of barca's standing).

this real madrid, which is inferior to the 16-17 one managed to get a win at the allianz without CR7 scoring or assisting. if messi doesn't score or assist at the allianz, this barca would get straight up murdered. as we did versus the lowly roma LMAO.

Barca were slaughtered in Rome because Messi didn't perform, the rest of the team were hopeless as well against Chelsea but Messi pulled them through.

Ronaldo could be awful at Bayern but the team still won and scored 2 good away goals.

Messi has been magnificent this season, he has carried Barca on his back, how anyone can doubt him is beyond me. Without Messi we would barely qualify for the champions league never mind win the thing.

Neither Ronaldo or Salah have performed as well as Messi has, Real has a far superior squad that does most of the work for Ronaldo and Salah has a world class coach who makes sure Salah has space in the pitch. Put Messi in that Liverpool or Madrid team and they would both be champions of their league. Put them in this Barca team and we would barely finish top 4.
