17 - Marc Casadó

Really interesting that Xavi didn't use him much last season since he's quality and we needed a DM just as last year when he prefered Christensen. He's not that young, Xavi played and trusted younger guys so that's not the reason.

Was the man of the match for me. Brave as a lion against butchers who were physically far bigger than him.

Bernal had his breakthrough performance against Valencia and this was Casado's.

His potential upside is still in question, but he could now genuinely make it here as a first team regular.

It's really hard to project his ceiling. If he was a little bigger and stronger I could see him even as a long term starter but he's not.

We'd have the most energetic midfield with Casado, Gavi and Fermin. All three always press like crazy and have 0 fear.

He's a great link to have between defenders and the rest of the team. Let's see if he's good enough to make an impact at the end of October. He surely needs to start v both Bayern and Madrid though. Definitely deserves being called up to Spain too, at least u21.

It's because Xavi was trying to emulate Pep with his 4 CBs on the field tactic. It pretty much worked too.

Not really, Pep played with Stones that went from RB or CB to midfield while Xavi used Christensen as a normal pivot that didn't change positions.
