He has been outstanding the season. What I am worried about it how the club will manage his transition to a great player. Meaning contracts and such. Barca really messed it up with Messi who took Barca for a ride wit his demands. Hopefully something will be learned from the experience. Also, I guess it's good that his agent is Mendes. He can reason with Yamal and his family if necessary.

Mendes managed to get €14m in 2021 for Fati, who has only just returned from injury.

Can you imagine how much he will demand for Yamal?

Mendes does what is best for the client. He is his agent first and foremost. The Fati situation, as I understand it, was 50/50 at the time. He was the ultimate hope of Barca at that time. So the wage was in some sense justified by his previous performances and goals. The club, I guess, wanted to show support as well. But we know how it turned out.

What I am ultimately saying, is that Mendes is not only money centric. He could have sold Ronaldo to some clubs for more money. But ultimately helped him to get to United and to Real to leave a legacy. And hopefully he can communicate it to Yamal and his entourage.

Fati was never worth 14m wages. Heck, he wasn't even worth half of that. He didn't show anything close to the level that Lamine, Cubarsi or Casado have. He was always mediocre. Just had good instinctive finishing.

Jorge Mendes cooked us. Absolutely made a mockery of the club. If we didn't pay Fati that much, we would have registered Olmo easily.
