19 - Lamine Yamal

The way some of you talk about Lamine is so weird man, he's not some kid breaking trough the ranks and getting a good game here an there we are talking about a player that has been performing at consistent world class level for almost a year now, playing multiple dominant performances in big games BOTH at club and national team level while being the most important piece in the puzzle.

He's already the best dribbler in the continent, a top 3 playmaker AT WORST and is starting to fix up his shooting (main issue), all this while he has not yet fully developed physically. He's not even on peak Messi/Neymar levels of insane ball usage, he's doing all of this on 50 touches a game (!!!)

You are witnessing greatness and instead of acknowledging it you come here and cry because "these kids getting overhyped smh", be serious :busquets:

Though I dont expect much from this forum, not even a year ago some people here were still reluctant to the idea that Lamine was a better winger than Dembele because "pace and dribbling", when anyone with a functional pair of eyes realised that the difference between the two was night and day.

No player has carried a football club at 17, much less at 16 like he did last season. There are no words and absolutely unprecedented. It's an unimaginable burden at that age to live with the expectations that are going to continue to multiply when the world witnesses the consistency of brilliant performances - especially in big matches like only the legends of the game can

I am sure this is what Flick alluded to with Gavi being emotional, to not get carried away and leave the kid's feet on the ground. To let him develop naturally. We can see the evolution in 12 months nevermind 18, imagine what lies ahead when he is only 17. Genuinely boggles the mind what more we will see from him, I hope he has the aspiration & discipline to keep improving

Hard to believe post-Leo we'd land a player of this caliber to dazzle & evoke joy for another 15 years again

New contract must be for at least 10 years! Would be cool if he signs that he is ours for 20...

Shame how Fati just plummeted... together, they would grow & rule football in next decade...

Amen ! I remember I had to argue with people that Lamine was better than Dembouz. Then a few months later they dropped Dembouz and brought Saka. I gave up. Because I know if I speak now they will bring Salah.

The truth is is that our guy is better than all 3, and always has been. The true Barca fans can see that clear as day, but they are drowned out by those that want to hate / downplay everything good about the club.

What take ya imbecile? Yamal not being better than the GOATS?

Messi at 17 looking the business, in a game star studded with legends vs Yamal bossing it vs Betis in the cup.

What's with this idiotic need to overhype every young player these days?
Messi still played mostly at youth level at 17.

Yamal now already shows his talent in Euro, in El Clasico, in Laliga and UCL.

His love for Neymar will hopefully make him also appreciate how his lack of professionalism/ambition derailed his career fairly early & dramatically
