He doesn't track back and expands too much energy on dribbles that don't go anywhere. Flailed his arms at 1st opportunity he didn't get the ball and then procedees to waste balls and not pass to teammates several times.

O.G.

I like his ability as a footballer but attitude, at 17, needs to be a lot different.

Lads, he is a winger. He sometimes tries adventourous shit and it doesn't come off. It's a part of job description. And he is 17. He'll be fine.

...as long as he doesn't do it too much like Barca Dembele or doesn't have the facilities to do something but tries it anyway like Deloufeu.

You whine about the game being boring now and how much better it was in the 90s and 2000s and want to coach flair out of Yamal

Said in the chat will say it here.

Think concerns about his "level-headness", largely present on this forum too but probably in his environment as well, are largely overreactive and he's not nearly as selfish, lazy or conquered by fame as made out by people.

A very strange conclusion considering that if we sit down and look at matches over the last 30 days, we will find a large number of episodes when this guy did not return to defense and didn’t press with the required intensity.

Noone has an issue with risk taking. It's Flicks system too.

And no, no issue with skillfull players. I supported Neymar as others.

It's good for one player not to return to defense to be an outlet for counters. Barca is not a team that puts 11 behind the ball, there is no potential for transitions when you do that. It's not like Suarez and Messi that wouldn't press at all, Yamal presses plenty. He also played very disciplined today once we got down to 10 men.

He'll be fine.

Still a kid. Seem a bit too desperate to score though. Flick need to tell him it will come naturally as he improves his shooting.

At the age of 17 it is already a miracle the fact he can play 90 minutes every match. To track back like Raphinha and be a pressing workhorse on top of it would probably defy all the logic there ever was.

The creativity and offensive product we get from him is already enough. He also works for the team as much as his 17 year old body physically lets him.

But like I said I'm open to more constructive criticism on him, which I doubt exists within the team. For example when he tries to score for the sake of it or gets mad being subbed off or dives unnecessarily. As for tracking back I think we shouldn't expect too much from his side. Because he's still the gold that needs to carefully be taken care of if want to get the most out of his talent.

This. Lamine and Rapha work in defensive phase. Which is 1 more than in Messi-Suarez era. If we field Tuna instead of Tractor, we have a rare occasion (in the last 15 years or so) when Barca is defending with 11 players, which is coincidentally one of the reasons why we score so much with Tuna as a ST. Steal the ball high up the pitch, blitz them and score.

Need to be spanked a bit for overholding the ball, when there are clear opportunities to carve open defense with simple pass or pass-and-run action, instead of slowing the game down to full stop. Also showboating with backheel pass and failing, when playing one man down. It's okay to use your skills, when you have plenty, but he's clearly overindulging himself more and more lately.

How do you know what's the required intensity? Do you work within the coaching staff?

His body is a special case. He's 17 years old. Playing 90 minutes every week and pressing, running like crazy on top of it would probably not be good for it, don't you think? That's why he's probably tasked to press less than Raphinha, who is a fully grown athlete in his physical prime, does.
