I agree Olmo will probably stay but we won't see him on the field until August and even then it could be another saga with his registration.

Barça are demanding the cancellation of the old law, which states that "a player cannot be registered twice in the same team during the same season."

This is Barça's argument to the Spanish Football Federation to obtain a new license for Olmo and Victor.

Sure, but the player's license issued by the RFEF is only issued once. You can then register and de-register the player. And both players were given a provisional registration pending Barca fulfilling the requirements needed to finalize their proper registrations. Deadline is January 2nd for that.

What Barca are trying right now is to get RFEF to issue a new player's license for Olmo and Pau who would then count as new players I suppose and allow the club to register them until the end of January.

But that would require a change in the rules and regulations.
