23 - Jules Kounde

Doesn't seem like something Kounde would do but could happen to anybody. I'm sure this is not a repeating thing and it's good Flick showed authority if it's true.

This guy played another 2 games without substitution. And plays non-stop for a long while. New chronic injury is not that far away.

He was rested v Osasuna and he was subbed off against YB for Fort. Risky games to rest him now. But since Fort plays very impressive when he gets subbed on I wouldn't mind Kounde getting more rest.

He seems strong, I think if anybody can handle this freaky schedule in our squad it's him. Could be one of the reasons he's among the most consistent performers.

No avail to look which one seems how strong. Once Gavi, Fermin and FDJ were seeming strong. The 'seeming' must not be evaluation point.

Just a small appreciation post, since the topic fell down. This guy has been massive for us this year. Absolutely massive.

Would argue that he is, along with Rapha and Inigo, the most improved player under Flick. What Rapha is for attack this guy is for defense.

I think he would be just as good if given a run of games at CB.

No strike that, he would definitely be just as good, but that being said, we are stacked in the CB position, so I will have to give up on that dream.

He's very good defensively, I think very solid and steady.

If Balde can be more expansive on the left then it adds balance to have a flying full-back on one side and more conservative one on the other. Not saying Kounde is necessarily bad going forward, just that his strengths lean towards defence. He's an intelligent defender.

I know some people here don't like him but I think he's a good player to have in the team.
