4 - Ronald Araújo

There is no indication of us caving and giving him a massive salary.
Moretto said that Araujo is going to get a low release clause that is attainable. One of the reasons he will accept staying is him being in control of his future.

It seems he will still be underpaid by his expectations, but with him having a chance to prove himself worthy of more and either getting another high renewal or getting sold to his favourite destination.

that's really amazing, yesterday it was said that he would definitely go and now fabrizio writes that ronald has already agreed to a new contract and it's just a matter of details before the signing. fantastic barca fantastic deco

Was never in doubt. Uruguayo bleeds Blaugrana. He's obviously settled for less money than he wanted.

In the same circumstances, Ramos ended up at QSG.

I know my GOAT defender.

If my source is correct, FDJ (whom I like as a player), Fati, Ferran, and Christensen are on the list. I believe Araujo, despite his limitations, is still among the top three defenders in the world and deserves to be compensated accordingly.
Obviously FDJ and Fati are overpaid for various reasons, and should not be used as a reference.

You are right on Christensen. Who is a player in a similar position and availability.

I imagine the new contract Araujo was offered was superior to his and Iñigo's, so I don't see the problem.

GREAT NEWS!

Now that Araujo is set to stay, go for Rashford.

I am confident this XI can win a CL final this season:
Kounde-Araujo-Cubarsi-Balde at the back,
Casado-Pedri in the pivot,
Lamine-Olmo/Gavi-Rapha further up,
Rashy up front

DO IT!

Agree on Rashford but I see him more to deputize Yamal and have Raph on the right rather than soley for Robert who has been objectively great whole season considered.

Sure, but if he comes I think he will show his worth and will eventually displace the odd one of the front-line (which is certainly the tractor) in important games.
The formation is less important than the role each one plays:
Lamine (and Olmo) dribble and create, Rapha and Rashford will be there to finish off the moves with clinical strikes

The fact that he turned around so fast makes me believe that either:

a) The club tried to lowball him
b) His agents were indeed hiding renewal attempts from him

I guess that if he changes agents ASAP, we'll know which one it was.

It's obvious that it's a), and Araujo was rightly pissed he is the most important defender of this team and getting so much less than others

Thankfully, SE QUEDA

the leader of the defense will be here for the important games of the season, and for many more years
