4 months would be mid november. The first half goes until January. The club wouldn't go for 1,5 months without a fit Araujo. Also it could maybe help to free up some registration room, it wouldn't help for the Masa Salarial overall, as every spending the club does counts towards it, no matter if registered, or unregistered.
Last but not least, it wouldn't insprire trust and I think such a move would be the final nail to him leaving.

BUT: prime Araujo is physically (speed, last-ditch tacking, air, dueling) 10 times the player prime Umtiti was

Given that football has evolved a lot on that aspect since 2018, even prime Umtiti would be having some problems in that department today
