😆 🤣.....well, he did not start and came in as a FB sub and the team still won. So whats your problem?
Araujo has played 3 full 90 minutes matches in La liga since return from injury early December 2024. Guess what, none was a clean sheet... 😆
I have been a staunch Araujo backer for years and even when everyone was mad at him last year, trying to pin the loss vs PSG on him rather than Xavi's ineptitude, records on this forum will show I defended him relentlessly(he was not the reason for the loss, poor coaching was)
However I am not dumb enough to think that his limitations as a starter are not so glaring for everyone to see , including the opponents, especially in the system currently being deployed. Right now l accept Inigo and Pau are ahead of him so he wont be starting many matches in comparison to those 2.
In this case, I will awlays refer to the coaches' decisions rather than take cognisance of what an unknown individual thinks. Especially if the coach has proven to be more tactically astute compared to previous 4 coaches.

I would be surprised if Araujo plays but then again he is on the bench when Flick was clear that neither him nor Raph would play (irrespective of the former not playing for NT)

Unfortunately that's just a part of the problem. In crucial moments he lacks concentration and he reads the game worse than any other defender in our squad. His major strength is his speed and he will lose that with age.
